I so envy those who get 75 precious minutes of live Clay. I would pay anything I could to see him live, so gorgeous, singing on the stage in front of me, even for one song. But due to life circumstances, that will never happen for me. I am so incredibly thankful for tour performances videos. That is what I have. I live vicariously thru you. Count your blessings, people. Clay? Wrong gay guy lol. OMG- how embarrassing. I've lost my mind. went back and edited. heh. I was just reading about AI and someone mentioned the Ruben-Clay year.

FanOfTheMan - maybe it WILL happen for you one day. I'm just one of many Adamtopians who will try to help others experience the joy.
Just listened to the two 'Mad Worlds' from a post above - twice. I can't hear anything to indicate that Adam is ill. If he's conserving his voice - a wise move with many concerts in the coming days if he's not feeling his best - he's a master at this. After all, several years ago he was quoted in an interview that theatre training taught him "how to sing through a cold". He owes us NO explanation as to why his performance was changed or shortened. We pay to go to a show; the entertainer performs; and that is that. Here on Adamtopia, though, we know so much about the nuances of every song and every show that we speculate and dissect every aspect of what we see and hear. For me it's beginning to be too much. Adam gives us 110% every time he hits the stage. This is his bliss. He doesn't want to be sick; and lordy, he's not trying to save his voice for QAL performances that are months away. That's not how a good voice works. If he's protecting anything, he's being gentle with a voice when he's under the weather. When he's feeling good, that voice is unstoppable, and he's unafraid to share it all.
One more thought. The 'anniversary' of the amazing Fantasy Springs show of 2010 passed on February 27th. Six years! I remember MidWifesPal sprinkling glitter on me, as I thrilled from row 26 at the concert. Exactly one year later our little granddaughter, Penelope, was born. Soon after, she was in neonatal intensive care for 11 days . . . and people here, on Adamtopia, helped me through that dark and frightening chapter. I'm overjoyed to report that she just celebrated her 5th birthday; and welcomed her little brother into the world this week.
Life is good; for me; for us; for Adam. All is love.

ITA I did the big ticket VIP last night and loved every minute of it. I too went to Long Beach LOL. Wanted to hear him sing anything from TOH for the first time to a live concert audience. It was a crazy drive in nutso weather but totally worth it. Great to hear! Seems the only complainers are us freeloaders I actually think that the experience of remote concert viewing makes people much more critical of things that do not seem important when you see him live. He was so happy/relaxed/glowy/joyful when I saw him in AC that I did not even think about the setlist. But you don't get that on a stream -- no matter how good it is. And it is so great to see him do a real show, with effects and lighting and such a great band, is a small venue. So much more personal than QAL and y'all know I love QAL. ETA: I do think he needs to seriously rethink that last outfit -- the graffiti shorts. Seriously not his best stage look. Sorry to be negative and I really tried to like it. I was there with my husband and had 4 virgin friends there. They all loved Adam but thought that outfit was laughable. I did not try to explain it, 'cause I don't really get it.

Men's shorts - fashion and political statement Caricatures of gay people have involved shorty shorts for as long as I can remember. Growing up, the shorter my shorts the more homophobic the abuse I would hear walking down the street.
I suggest that it is no coincidence that the mainstreaming of above-the-knee fashion for men has coincided with a higher profile gay rights movement. Men’s fashion featuring short shorts is as much an act of appropriation of gay iconography by the mainstream as it is an act of solidarity with the GLBTIQ community in their struggle for equality.
Just as the gay male represents just one aspect of the GLBTIQ community, so too does the mainstreaming of short shorts represent only a small aspect of changes in attitudes. Still, if putting on a mini was understood to be a political decision, why not celebrate this new trend? Men’s short shorts are now indirectly at least, a symbol for the gay rights movement and should be worn with pride.

I saw Adam in Foxwoods and although he looked tired at the photo op, he sure didn't sound sick or act sick. He has sung the same set list since that night. I knew he had cut songs and there were several I would like to have heard, but my enjoyment of the performance was not diminished in any way. He has a very long road to hoe over the next 4 months and if dropping several songs is what he needs to do to protect that glorious voice, I think he can do that without people tweeting him, assuming he is sick, or feeling that he is short changing his fans, because everyone else sings more. I am really surprised by some of the remarks. Adam does not do a show like everyone else. It is high powered and vocally tiring. He has literally no break during the whole performance other than a couple of minutes to change. He dances and moves and expends a lot of energy! Maybe if he just stood there and sang, but I guess people would think there is something wrong because he is "low energy". I don't equate Adam's show to anything else out there and I think 75 minutes is great. That was how he got through the GNT tour in glorious fashion. Adam has to do what works for him and if he sounded strained vocally, everyone would be talking about that and discussing how to keep his voice where it needs to be for the tour. Maybe he is doing just that. Otherwise he might have to cancel shows like many of the other singers are doing because of their vocal cord issues. I would rather have 75 minutes of Adam than nothing and I felt like I certainly got my money's worth. If I cut anything, however, it would be the Photo Ops, that is just one thing too many, IMHO. I also might cut NCOE and put in one of the other songs, but that would be it. The show is perfect as it is! You guys are going to love it! I wish I were going to another one, as one night of Adam is never enough!!!
