Oh, didn't see this, RCA ED's earlier post before the above from the same topic. www.adamofficial.com/us/node/2013186#comment-2015376RCA Ed: Sunday, June 12, 2011 - 10:28Re: What happened to @flaminga's 'IM DYING HERE' thread??? There is NO ETA or date - as I said below; 6 months was a random figure I chose to use. Adam is working on the record now. We fly him around the world and cover the costs of studio time, musicians and producers, while he works and collaborates with other artists. No one in Adam's 'organization', if you'd like to call it that, is sitting around twiddling their thumbs - we're as busy as ever. Everything in life simply has different phases, and in art, you can basically break them down into creation or promotion. Clearly, we're in the creation phase now, where 19 and RCA support and fulfills Adam's vision and talent in piecing his new album together, and provides inside looks into the process wherever possible. These looks will naturally snowball as the album comes together and the multiple elements that go into launching a successful album, instead of a dud, are built together around the MUSIC. Announcing a precise street date will happen in due time. But that's why throwing out firm dates now is a pointless exercise. Of all the things we do, the creative process is the last one you want to put a timeframe around. We won't rush or slow down Adam as he follows his muse - just back him up with the resources to do so, whether all his collaborations bear fruit or not. The rest of the release planning is built around the creative process. Take a load off kids...no matter what, you won't hear new music for months still, hence my point about not jumping off a cliff. Hang in there!

Catz I didn't even know about the gunman incident until I read your message here, so sorry that you were having more drama in RL and I'm glad that no one was hurt. I've relatives in Christchurch so there was yet another round of frantic phone calls to make sure everything was OK, then ringing family members overseas to assure them we are all alive and well. I can't even imagine what the people actually living in Christchurch are feeling and going through.
Re: M&G in GNT Auckland that was my first time going to a GA concert, let alone meeting the artist himself, so I was REALLY nervous about the whole thing. The long wait was frustrating but I think that actually helped me chill out a bit. Most of the M&G peeps were staying positive and high-spirited, and staff at the venue did their best to accommodated us so we still ended up quite close to the stage. Sure the whole event could have been planned better (I certainly would love to have more time with Adam), but then realistically Adam would have to make the most out of his time promoting himself & his music. When I was looking on while Adam was getting interviewed, I was thinking how lucky I am that I could see him perform live, since the NZ concert wasn't on the tour schedule to start with and I was too slow for the Aussie shows. So overall I'm happy that I took the chance to have the M&G, and was grateful that he took the detour to NZ - Enter Sandman as encore alone would have been worth it ;D
Forgot to add - HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHIMSY!

Hang in there! wal - great find! I lovehow they totally support Adam and are doing anything and everything possible to give him all the "tools" needed to create a great album! Between that and Adam's genius - I have no worries that the album will be awesome and it will drop at the best time possible with the most promotion RCA can muster! ..getting butterflies in my stomack imagining the pleasure of following all the build up and the first listen and chart watching and promo appearances and tour announcements and ticket buying and concert going...
