Another example of Adam helping friends. Look who just got a gig with KE$HA! Guess Monte lost his drummer though.

In any case, I really cannot imagine that Sony/RCA would be foolish enough to disrupt the AO.com forum. It is massive and is a center of the Glambert fan action campaigns that support Adam. However, if they do close down AO.com Forum [I put probability at 0.000001%), get a lot of popcorn because we'll be in for a wild ride. |

Maslow's attempt to explain consumer behavior as a Hierarchy of Needs has been widely criticized and I would say pretty much rejected by most psychologists. But the categories of needs are widely used withing marketing and other applied disciplines, and have proven to be effective motivators.
So, JMHO, discard the pyramid, and flatten it out, and then it works -- meaning people can be motivated by any of these needs in the right situation. And an individual who is deprived of satisfaction in one need area, may often sift to satisfy another need. For example, no food (fasting) can shift to need for self-actualization. No sex, can shift to eating.
In any case, advertisers look at these specific needs to design advertising that will motivate specific behaviors. And in the marketplace, it works.

Thanks. I had heard privately that this the way they treated Adam was a GLAAD board issue but yesterday's interview was the first time I saw it in the press. It is sad that GLAAD did not support Adam more fully from the start but was so wavering. |
