Has Adam had a successfull single in.the us since Wwfm? Yeah gt. Was top 20 at us pop radio. And went gold. But also only peaked around 60 70ish on Bb hot 100. Wwfm.peaked #10. I dont know bk.then.Adam had enormous buzz. He had some after Nye 2014. And some after idol. Nz over here have never played it again. Because Adam singles need regular promotion. Nothing means the masses have no idea Adam is even making music anymore. So yeah not a traditional single release. Not a 11 more like a 1 now. Other then the Ncca Plugs. Nothing. Strange. Add that too failed singles since Wwfm , Gt being the only exception

Did we learn some new info from today's interviews? Has he mentioned Bret Easton Ellis before? Has anyone read anything by him and would you recommend something?
Did we know about a grandmother giving him classical orchestral music by great composers that he would listen to before sleeping? Adam's passion for music was definitely nourished by his family!

It actually was not produced by Max Martin -- here is what Adam said: “I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring. I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on ‘Ghost Town,’ and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are.” I have not seen full credit for this song -- we only have partial songwriter credits. So possible that Max Martin has a credit but no indication that he does. NOTE: I have been completely buried for over a week -- and could have missed the credits. Regarding what they are doing with this single -- it is indeed a bit odd. It is possible that Adam really just wanted a new song/single for Idol and his concerts. He can certainly afford to do it if he wants to. Perhaps it is a test single. One thing is clear, it is not being treated as a traditional radio promo single. Well, they have certainly made money from the single by selling the rights to use on the NBA finals!!! I suspect the rights to use will be sold to other sporting events - it is the perfect song for this. I bet the potential income from this type of usage will be much higher than the net income of single purchase + streaming - radio promo costs. It may even be a more effective way to promote the song this way than on radio! Make it a big sports arena hit!!!! Q3, Any thoughts on this posibility? It was actually used for the NCAA finals which is college ball, not the NBA which is pro ball. WTTS apparently received 2 HAC adds today. Not sure which stations yet though. I am hoping it will be used for MLB which is the pro sport often referred to as 'The Show'.

I saw on Twitter that WTTS was used to go to commercial on the Today Show . . . or some show. Is that true, anyone know?

From what I remember it was top 20 in both CHR and HAC. Years ago it was almost platinum and could have already reached that by now. ETA: The last numbers for IIHY were 892K in 2012. content.usatoday.com/communities/idolchatter/post/2012/05/idol-track-sales-kelly-clarkson-carrie-underwood/1#.VwxCLhMrI0o It's in the comments.

The classical music info was new I think. I think he's mentioned Bret Easton Ellis before...a while back...but I never checked the author out. Hooking up with either a flight attendant or pilot after landing was new too. lol. Also, he didn't regret any tattoos he's ever gotten...ummmm....He must have forgotten about that one he turned into a big black blob. LOL.

Can't watch the video ATM...he mentioned Bret Easton Ellis???? Unless you want to have nightmares forever, do NOT read "American Psycho." I read it on an airplane and left it on the plane unfinished...it was truly vile, horrific slasher fiction with absolutely nothing entertaining or redeeming about it. Maybe his stuff has improved, but I'll never risk it again.
