Did we learn some new info from today's interviews? Has he mentioned Bret Easton Ellis before? Has anyone read anything by him and would you recommend something? Did we know about a grandmother giving him classical orchestral music by great composers that he would listen to before sleeping? Adam's passion for music was definitely nourished by his family! I think I remember Adam mentioning Ellis before a few years ago. The only Ellis I've read is American Psycho... which is a great (twisted, messed up) psychological deep dive into the mind of an uber megalomaniac in the 80s power culture on Wall Street. (Serious warning though: there's a scene involving a rat & some brie... and something else... that made me hang over the toilet for a bit. Seriously effed up. I read this book about 10 years ago & that scene has stayed with me.) ...But worth the read. At least to me: I love super twisted psychological fiction. (It's also got some good dark humor ) EDIT: Ha! I see noreaster had a different experience reading the book. Definitely an acquired taste, haha.

It actually was not produced by Max Martin -- here is what Adam said: “I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring. I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on ‘Ghost Town,’ and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are.” I have not seen full credit for this song -- we only have partial songwriter credits. So possible that Max Martin has a credit but no indication that he does. NOTE: I have been completely buried for over a week -- and could have missed the credits. Regarding what they are doing with this single -- it is indeed a bit odd. It is possible that Adam really just wanted a new song/single for Idol and his concerts. He can certainly afford to do it if he wants to. Perhaps it is a test single. One thing is clear, it is not being treated as a traditional radio promo single. Well, they have certainly made money from the single by selling the rights to use on the NCAA college basketball finals!!! I suspect the rights to use will be sold to other sporting events - it is the perfect song for this. I bet the potential income from this type of usage will be much higher than the net income of single purchase + streaming - radio promo costs. It may even be a more effective way to promote the song this way than on radio! Make it a big sports arena hit!!!! Q3, Any thoughts on this posibility? ETA - corrected NBA to NCAA.

I agree the potential income from selling.the rights for Wtts to.used in The Ncca finals. And possibly maybe more sporting events. More profitable in net income then a single release. No point in spending two mill on a single promotion yet. Just a strange strategy thats all haha. But with a Mv coming out. Maybe see more tv promotion after Europe toh tour.

OK, I may have to change my stance on the silver hair. I thought I loved it but it really ages him in this pic. Probably because he also tired. One of the worst pics I've ever seen of him imo

The classical music info was new I think. I think he's mentioned Bret Easton Ellis before...a while back...but I never checked the author out. Hooking up with either a flight attendant or pilot after landing was new too. lol. Also, he didn't regret any tattoos he's ever gotten...ummmm....He must have forgotten about that one he turned into a big black blob. LOL. No I don't think he forgot because the question was whether he regretted the tattoo and his explanation about the blob was that he had never liked the way it turned out. That is different than regretting to my mind and obviously he doesn't think of it in terms of regretting it.
