Adam Lambert Clears Up Accident Rumors + New photos

Adam Lambert rocks a pair of aviator glasses as he grabs lunch at Gjelina Restaurant with a female friend on Friday (June 17) in Venice, Calif.

The 29-year-old singer and songwriter was yet another victim of an online hoax where rumors were floating around that he had been in an accident.

Adam took to his Twitter to clear up the rumors.

“An accident?? Nope,” the American Idol finalist tweeted earlier today. “Where do these things come from?”

Adam then followed up, reassuring his fans, “Y’all can’t believe everything u read! Lol.”

The Just Jared article was accompanied by some new photos of Adam, leaving lunch with Alisan Porter. Alisan’s birthday is on June 20th so some Adam watchers have concluded this was a birthday lunch to celebrate her birthday.

Studio 69 definitely knows how to throw a theme party. The hedonistic underground happening meshes fetishy fashion, art, music and performance in the boldest, most bodacious and imaginative way. We're talking huge, wild props, shamelessly skimpy dress-up, throbbing rhythms, and unexpected amusements that have to be seen to be believed. Saturday night, their second event at Vanguard (it was previously in a massive warehouse in Culver City) offered a "Pirates vs. Ninjas" theme complete with a giant pirate ship at the entrance, an amazing red and black Ninja-garbed all female dance performance, (mostly female) DJs and guests -- including Nightranger favorite Adam Lambert-- dressed in full regalia.

I have changed my recommendation on VH1 Do Something Awards to DO NOT VOTE

On 5.25.11 I recommended voting in this competition. Since then I have done some additional research and testing.

1. Voting for the celebrity online awards is just a way to build awareness for the real awards show.

2, Adam is not nominated for any award. The only way to vote for Adam is as a write-in. It takes much longer to cast a write-in vs. voting for a nominee. There is no limit on voting. So 10 minutes of Adam fan voting time can be wiped out in about 1 minute by someone voting for a nominee.

Poll rating (0=lowest rating, 10=highest rating)

Adam benefit: 3 ¨C a win could raise awareness of The Trevor Project.
Fairness: 3 - there is an attempt to limit voting for just one category but it is very easy to work around.
Potential to win: 9 ¨C The voting structure makes a write-in vote very timeconsuming.
Fan value: 2
RECOMMENDATION ¨C vote only if you are willing to work really hard.

About the awards: DoSomething.org and VH1 have partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor young people's commitment to social change. VH1 is doing a series of online contests to promote this event ¨C they have nominees but also accept write-ins. One of the celebrity categories could help Adam but, more importantly make a difference.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the pants Adam is wearing in the photos are by Skingraft -- he is a walking ad for their clothing anyway. Did anyone else notice the pull tag on his jacket zipper? It's a key! It even looks a little like the key from his tattoo.
