Heck, keeping up with the board is like having a (wonderful) part-time job, isn't it? But a few days away and it takes forever to catch up, but I finally made it! Very many thanks to everyone who commented on my mammoth recaps of London and Manchester, you made me feel on top of the world. If new member Astralia (?) whose poster got damaged at the London show is reading this, please send me a private message with your address and I'll be glad to gift you one of my spare ones from the VIP early admission which I believe have the same image. Apart from the joy of Adam the man and his music, being a fan is also a fascinating study in human nature and a great illustration of the adage, "perception is reality". When I was regaling a friend with the blow-by-blow account of my trip and got to the part about the GA crush in London I said that I had found it all quite enjoyable and not a problem at all but that someone standing right beside me having the exact same experience may have described it as hell on earth. My perception = my truth. Having just seen the video of Adam's full Phonegate speech/rap and comparing it with the Facebook post of one of the 3 ladies he was talking to, who maintains he was just kidding around, I couldn't help but think of that. Personally, I don't think he could have been much more emphatic in his disapproval short of bopping them over the head with a mike stand but here's someone with a totally different perception of the event. Can't wait to see whether chatty/off-the-cuff Adam is going to be a regular feature of the tour going forward as for me hearing his "unscripted" chat is almost as much of a highlight as the actual singing. But of course, that's just MY perception and there's as many of those as there are opinions  You're a true sweetheart, Ann..  Hard to fathom why would anyone think he was joking? He was not joking, why would he bother saying it? He may be saying it while having a bit of fun and laughing about it, but I'm with you, Ann. He Means It.   |

It was interesting watching the video of his comments after hearing everyone discuss it. It seems clear to me that it is annoying to him to have people in the front who are just standing there filming, not participating. I don't think he minds all videoing, just not constantly in the front row where he feeds off people's energy.
