Would someone be kind enough to tell me how to bring a quote here from another day? I've only been here five years..... Hit qoute on post from another day. At bottom click on BBCode tab. Copy everything to clipboard including the tags in []'s. Go to today's thread. Hit Reply and then BBCode tab at bottom. Paste text in clipboard here. Add new text after the last []. Then switch back to Preview tab to see if correct. On a cell phone, cannot do this in mobile view mode. Must switch to full browser mode first.

What I hear Adam saying is NOT "Don't record my shows". It is "You three fans have been to many, many shows, right in the front. Always recording. You don't need all those recordings. Put down the phones and be present WITH ME." Was he serious? I believe so. Is his message to every fan who wants to record? No. Adam wants the fans up front to be fully engaged WITH HIM, fully present in the moment, as he is. That includes those with comped tickets who sit there like bumps on a log, and those who show up each night with phones surgically implanted in their hands.IMO

My view is that him going off like that actually proves that he loves his fans and is treating them like friends. A true friend will call you on your bullshit. Doesn't mean they don't love you. I think the problem is these people who aren't getting the message probably don't have people in their lives who call them on their shit. So they think because he is smiling and laughing that he "doesn't really mean it". No honey (see what I did there) he means it but he still loves you anyway even if you are being a jerk. What I see in that video is Adam being real with his fans just like he would with his friends. He has spoken often about how we as a culture tend to sacrifice experiences for the sake of documenting with our phones/cameras. He also freely admits to being addicted to his phone himself. I have no doubt that he loves that fans follow him all over and go to shows but he wants them to learn to be in the moment rather than just documenting it. I think he finds it a bit weird that they go to all that trouble and expense to be there and then just have their phone out instead of living the moment. For what it's worth, while I appreciate getting videos to shows, if they don't show up then it's all good and I rarely watch 1st row videos anyway because the sound is usually awful. I do think that if Adam is right in front of you it is a bit disrespectful to be focused on your phone. I would happily sacrifice that video view to keep Adam happy. I think the best videos are taken from front row balcony with a zoom lense.

Changing the subject...
I mentioned that Angelina Kalahari is considering writing a blog about her observations regarding Adam's voice and his growth as a singer. I thought we could encourage her by sending her a list of questions about it. For example: "I read that Adam is a leggiero tenor. What is that? What does that mean?" "When others perform I have difficulty understanding the words. Yet, with Adam his words are clear. Is that something with the sound system, or something he is doing?" "People talk about Adam having 'great technique' as a singer. Honestly, I don't know what that means, and how they can tell." "Why does Adam's voice sound so incredible to me?" "When trained singers say Adam, or any artist is a great singer, what criteria are they using to say that?" "I worry about Adam singing such long shows so many times. Is it dangerous for his voice?"
I am sure you all have questions about that incredible instrument and how Adam uses it. If you post them, I will make sure Angelina gets them. Maybe we can inspire her.

Should we post our q's to you in a pm, and you pass them on..??
