GREAT SHOW.. a question who pays the opening acts.. Does Adam? When my son's band tours if they arrange for an opener that will be with them consistently, the contract with promoters/venues is made so that their band receives a sum for all the entertainment put forth, then they pay the opener an amount that was worked out between the two of them. When they are doing a series of one offs or special events or festivals their contact is just for their payment, and if the venue or promoter provides an opener that venue or promoter pays the opener separately. My son's band is indie and plays smaller venues, so their experience regarding paying the opener may be different than Adam's. peace&love
