Spotify update from this week (Worldwide!):
All TOH album songs 7 day average: GT 133k (LW 138k) ALN 16.4k (LW 17.6k) TL 8.3k (LW 8.2k) TOH 6.6k (LW 7.2k) Rumors 5.3k (LW 5.6k) UG 3.5k (LW 3.9k) EITN 3.5k (LW 3.9k) TISI 3.3k (LW 3.6k) Lucy 2.5k (LW 2.8k) TIDS 2.3k (LW 2.5k) HF 1.9k (LW 2.1k) AH 1.2k (LW 1.3k) Shame 1.1k (LW 1.3k) TB 1.1k (LW 1.2k)
Al the songs dropped back quite some again except The Light. Somehow that one keeps rising.
His other big songs 7 day averages: CGH 143.7k (LW 144.5k) WTTS 45.4k (LW 51.1k) WWFM 19.8k (LW 20.5k) Runnin' 12.6k (LW 12.7k) IIHY 9.3k (LW 9.7k) FYE 4.9k (LW 4.9k) NCOE 3.5k (LW 3.7k) Trespassing 3.4k (LW 3.7k) BTIKM 3.4k (LW 3.6k)
It's the first time CGH dropped a bit after the release. FYE is the only song that increased a little. The rest is dropping.
Adam's total amount of streams this week for TOH (including remixes) is: 1,374,510 (LW 1,443,730) Increase WTTS, CGH and Spotify: 1,351,780 (LW 1,402,015) Total increase other albums this week: 613,310 (LW 644,193)
Hope the Queen exposure will lift his streams back up some again.

Given all the articles I've seen recently about WBR and their focus on streaming I honestly think they are not likely to push something to radio without good streaming statistics. To me it looks like their focus all along has been developing streaming not necessarily pushing radio. GT was a radio hit but while they did do the standard first single radio promo I think beyond that they let the streaming drive the progress. At every point where we thought there might be a radio push beyond the initial promo there didn't really seem much evidence of it but the radio rise pretty much followed the streaming pattern. It always seemed to me that radio was following the streaming build with the possible exceptions of Finland and South Africa which had strong sales right out of the gate and radio seemed to follow the initial sales most of the countries seemed to be radio following the streaming build.
I think they are not going to push hard to radio on anything that doesn't connect strongly in streaming. I also think it is smart to accept the gains that have been made with TOH and move forward on to the next project rather than trying to continue to push more TOH songs. WTTS may be a sign of them playing around with different approaches. The song is doing fairly well on streaming in spite of fairly limited promo. I think WBR is more focused on building a song on streaming and then going to radio rather than hitting radio right out of the gate.
