Adam Lambert Posts Pro Gay Marriage Equality Message to Fans Adam Lambert posted a touching pro gay marriage quote from writer and comedian Liz Feldman to his fans on Sunday, June 19, 2011. It reads: "It's very dear to me, the issue of gay marriage. Or, as I like to call it: 'Marriage.' You know, because I had lunch this afternoon, not gay lunch. I parked my car. I didn't gay park it. [Liz Feldman]" Adam Lambert responded to Feldman's quote with a message of his own: "Exactly. If we want to progress as a society we have to begin to focus on how we are the same and not how we're different." The popular 29-year-old singer started a lively conversation among his fans by posting the quote. Most people who replied to Adam Lambert's message wholeheartedly supported it, and at least one person referred to the term "marriage equality" as a better term than "gay marriage" to support marriage rights for the gay community. Unfortunately, there are still some people who disagree with Adam Lambert's message of marriage equality. However, there is no doubt that society will continue to make strides toward equal rights for everyone in the future. The only problem is that there should be equality for everyone now. celebs.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474979478065Thanks for the article and I like the term marriage equality.

NY vote on same sex marriage today or tomorrow. They are negotiating on language so that churches can not be sued for discrimination if they refuse to perform ceremonies. We need one vote and there are several Republicans still on the fence. Chairman told them to vote with their conscience - not their politics. Governor had a ton of private meetings with Republicans last week. We only need one more vote! That doesn't make sense. Churches can never be sued for discrimination--that's the "up" side for them in the separation of church and state. A church can restrict its membership to only whites, or only blacks, or only people with knobby knees if they so desire. That's always been the baffling point to me about the churches' battle against gay marriage. The important part of marriage to a church is the religious aspect anyway. Any religion would be allowed to deny gay people the right to be married in their church, so what do they care if gays have the legal right to be married? I didn't think of that murly, but here's what it said in my paper this morning. "Several Republicans are openly undecided. Governor Cuomo has engaged in a personal effort to woo fence sitters, meeting with them in his office to work on language in the bill that GOP senators say is necessary to protect church based agencies from discrimination claims. We are making progress with the issue of religious exemptions said the Republican majority leader." So maybe "church based agencies" is different from actual churches? I don't see why though. Anyway, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Governor Cuomo has made this a top issue, has really pushed for it's passage, and continues to state that he is confident that it will pass. We'll know tonight or tomorrow.

Oh to be the woman in blue in yesterday's SD bar photo of Adam with his dad, LOL. I just read yesterday's thread and loved all of your stories. Most of my guests have gone home now, so I will maybe have time soon to be here more. I've missed you all! I've been quickly skimming through the daily threads but haven't had much time to post...so many things going on in RL, happily, good things just now. Oh, and I love Adam in blue.

I don't feel FYE was safe at all. So, if RCA let him be Adam with album #1, I don't think they will make him be safe with album #2. I don't think Cook's album is a step backwards at all. I think it is who he is and who he wants to be. Now, if you think he should be doing Pop songs, then yes, it is not a pop album. I truly feel that this is the album David wanted to make and he did it. The bad thing about the AOL stream is that they posted the tracks in the wrong order and since this album has a theme, it should have been posted correctly. Cook's fans have posted to RCA Ed about that and Ed's response was, "It's not important enough to worry about." I think David might not agree with that. Circadian is clearly supposed to be the opening song and REM is supposed to be the last. Oh well! Not sure why AOL has it out of order -- but I listened to it in order based on the comments on DCO.com. I honestly think that only a committed Cook fan would care about the sequence but I am not sure who else would listen to the entire album but a Cook fan. So on this one, I think RCA Ed is wrong, and I agree that Cook would probably privately disagree with him. All said -- the great classic theme albums worked in sequence or not. For example, Bat Out of Hell was a great track and a great theme album. ************************** Big internet news --- Custom Domain Suffixes Are Coming: Here's What You Need to Know Read more: techland.time.com/2011/06/20/custom-domain-suffixes-are-coming-heres-what-you-need-to-know/#ixzz1PpUBYyAj Scroll Alert-- Not Adam relatedI am not a big fan of David Cook, but I did listen to his album twice. First, I listened to the songs in order, then I just listened based on the order in the AOL stream. I can definitely see that Cook put a lot of musical effort into this album. It's well put together. There are several songs that I really like. By the middle of the album, I wanted to say "Dude, lighten up". There are some HAC friendly singles on this album. Cook is going to need a big single to get people to take the time to listen to the entire album. I think the Tedder co-write was the last song added to the album. I can see why. It's probably the only somewhat light up-tempo song on the album. Also, the most radio friendly. After that, perhaps Fade in to me, Take me as I am, Hard to believe, and Right here with you.

Last year I went to three concerts, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and two Adam shows. Last night I got to see MCC again. I was in row 5, dead center, with a completely unobstructed view of the stage. It was so incredible. I've seen her 5 or 6 times and this is the best seat I have ever had.
I wept for the better part of the show. I could really feel the emotion of the songs and being so close was a completely different experience.
I was really far away during one Adam show and much closer for the second, but not CLOSE CLOSE.
I'm thinking that I need to spend what it takes to get VERY close for my third. I may never be the same afterward.

I just listened to some of Cook's new songs, although I never followed him duirng AI, I'm just not a hugh fan but I did like the song "Take Me as I am" I really would like to hear Adam sing this song. I do wish him success as he helped Adam in some way. DIdn't Adam say he followed Cook's "game plan' during his run for AI.
Q3..I like you how positive you are regarding Album #2 for Adam. I'm just so nervouse as I want it to be a hugh success and I know I will like the album no matter what. He can sing "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and I will hail it as the second coming of Beethoven.
As are as Adam's next tour, I can't imagine how much I'll have to pay just to get up close. t

I am not a stand in line kind of person. I like sitting at a bar and/or restuarant nearby and showing up just in time to buy some merchandise then sit down! It's actually not even the line I mind as much as it is the rude, pushy people that are sometimes up front at GA. And that you have to be glued to your spot, once you get there.

Typical "No news" Adam day: - a meaningful tweet - An outlet pics up his tweet as news - Random cell phone pictures! Oh how I love the idea that he went to San Diego to hang out with his dad, and sang a couple of songs for a "wtf??" audience for fun! But how about more news? In the order of my preference: 1. a song snippet leak 2. a new deep interview 3. Add date for the single 4. An announcement for a cool big endorsement deal 5. Release date for the album 6. a major twitter fail :D 7. New Adam+ Sauli pics See? I'm not asking much am I?
