LOL! Remember "Dusty Madrid"?!! Adam incognito!   Can't believe it! I thought I was the only one who remembers Dusty Madrid. Those were the days. Adam was just learning how to travel in cognito. |

First time in 7 years Adam has disappointed me. His comment is rude. Not to mention incorrect, from the people who commented originally about the face swap. Many were confused. :( imo, he's sick of seeing the same old faces in the front row of every concert. It makes him look very uncool and not current. He tried to be subtle with the phone drop and rant but it didn't work. I don't think he gives a fuck if he pisses people off. It's his career and he's had enough. I truly think he appreciates all fans but probably thought his groupies would look a little different lol My opinion of course but this has been my stance all along. If you're over 35, stay out of the front row. Me included |

I don't think he is addressing anything about concerts or front row.
He is just making a thoughtless ageist comment. That is, actually incorrect (concerning those original face swap comments.)

Many were confused. :( agree.......never post here, but this was rude .....#1...how did he conclude these were "grannies" making comments ...it was all over the board from what i could discern......and wtf?.....adam.. you are an artist that brings diversity...yet..you disparage a group of fans with a quip of the IG pen?.......I'm not a grannie....but geez.......don't bite that bit of the % of hand that feeds you , Sir......not smart... |

I was going to let it pass because not worth having others wave the "Pearl-clutcher" or "PC" accusations at you ... it is totally allowable etc. but it is unkind and unnecessary. I don't know why it is OK to be condescending about anything or one age related. Agism is the last acceptable bias....especially if it is female as well. Not offended, just disappointed and a little surprised. And right after seeing the lovely picture with rpreuer [?]. Why is that funny? Whatever... ETA....for the first time, I confess that I am almost wondering if I have had a lapse in judgment re fan-stanning Adam to this level. We have all put him on some sort of personal pedestal and lately, he has really been treating/referring to fans in a derogatory way...often. Oh he pays public lip service to his "amazing" fans but he clearly does not really value the OG ones like he used to. It is like he is just sick and tired of being nice to all those old dogged fans that have followed and revered him for so long and he wants us gone...as oracle so sweetly states it...from visibility. Just buy the cd's and sit in the balcony where you belong. |

If yes, I think he's kidding and implying grandma's don't understand new technology. Just saying those that didn't understand are a little old. I don't think it's disrespectful. Not intentional. Face it a grandma can be about 40 years old. He's not that far off himself. Lol |

Lol I think the issue here is. Most of you put Adam on a pedastal. But he is not perfect. He says wrong things some times. I Don't care about what he says enough. To be dissapointed in what he said, I just shrug so what? As for the Grandma comment. Well is he wrong lol? ADam maybe getting tired of the same old face. Maybe after his Gay performance. Theirs a desire, for hate to say it a younger audience? I guess after what 60 odd shows. Its bloody understanble if you ask me lol.

I don't know what I think  (rare,for me!) Probably, I think, there likely were more older fans (and they're almost all women) than younger fans who didn't get that that was face swap - that would make sense to me . . . I mean, of course, not 100% true, but mostly true. Hmm . . . but "grandmas" tho - that's a little harsher than "public" Adam usually is . . . the only Adam we know. But, I do agree that front rows and radio shows that are majority moms and grandmas isn't the ideal image for a popstar . . . (And Adam is clearly not comfortable when said fans who are taking photos with him also "touch [him] funny, " that's understandable, in my opinion . . . and it was so funny, imo, when he said that.) Yeah, no one is perfect - Adam, I think, is ALMOST unfailingly kind. But, I think, everyone has to be kind to themselves, too, and I think a part of that is allowing ourselves to express stuff even when it isn't to everyone's liking or approval. He's so lovely in so many ways (but, you know, I don't think super deeply over-thinking things is his nature - I find that refreshing because I HUGELY over-think things sometimes, like animal rights, language, cultural appropriation (!), which most everyone I know as well Adam just ROLL their eyes at, etc. I roll my eyes at myself, too, but I'm interested in that stuff at the same time - I can't help it. That's my nature. Anyway, Adam isn't thinking about ageism and I, myself, really, don't want him to. (sorry - TLDR :/ ) |
