I agree nic42 many supportive Adam fans, many good times ...with this caveat.. IMHO,If It's no longer about doing good for Adam but has become about only doing good for oneself, maybe it's time to reset one's priorities.

Can't believe it! I thought I was the only one who remembers Dusty Madrid. Those were the days. Adam was just learning how to travel in cognito. Can someone explain the Dusty Madrid reference, please & thank you? Is that Adam in that pic? That is Adam. Once upon a time, he created a disguise for himself that you see, and he called himself Dusty Madrid. He talked with a blue collar, southern American accent, which is often used for characters that are unsophisticated and numb. (Talk about stereotyping--whew! I wonder how many complaints he got. Nah, that's still acceptable. ) He put it on the internet only a couple times. Anyone who followed him would have spotted him a mile away.

**************It was just insensitive and rather ignorant to go back to a pic to comment that all those misunderstanding the tech had to be grandma's. Who and what does he think has learned the technology and supported/promoted him throughout social media so that he now was indeed attracting those come-lately young desirable. Sorry but the gay and young fans are only just now coming around after we nasty grandma's have got him into the spotlight. Did we do it all....of course not. But to be dissed by those who would not come around until he was deemed "cool" and now want us all to disappear because we don't have the "cool" factor....how rude. If some of we older fans are willing to be kicked to the back then that is their prerogative but that does not make ageist comments any more acceptable. Ridiculing other's feelings because you either do not fit the demographic or do not feel the same does not make it any kinder. He has every right to diss us, but it is really thoughtless. This was not a "oops...filter took too long to kick in" this was a delayed, deliberate comment. ************ Read more: adamtopia.com/post/new/3715#ixzz490CiaGI8**********I have to agree. What in the world does it matter how old Adam's fans are? If a fan pays for their ticket, then stands in the front row for 100 shows, so what? This whole thing sounds exactly like any other prejudice we are constantly fighting against. Replace the word "grandmas" with any other group that is discriminated against. How does it sound? Do you think they would stand for being singled out and made fun or of told to "get in the back of the line?" Think about it.*************

I just realized that half of my post I just wrote is missing, because I was so busy writing about the things that irritate me I forgot the many things I love. (I don't think many are going to read this, since this thread is yesterday's news, but still) - I love the company of other Adam fans, such great people! - I am in absolute awe of the generosity of many in the fandom (giving away posters with autographs, sharing blankets in the queue, gifting M&Gs, contributing for people who otherwise couldn't go to a show, sharing VIP merchandise) - So many creative people, sharing their art. Drawings, pictures, edits, stories, putting their feelings and ideas out there - Absolutely amazed at the organization skills in the fandom and time everyone puts in it (keeping Atop up and running, finding and helping streamers, making lists of vids, concert schedules) Many many things to be happy about! This is precious...

Nice avi! Did you have lots of fun on your TOH tour? Are you going to write a recap about your favourite moments? Thank you happy! I try to write a short recap but it takes time because English is not my first language I'll be watching out for it -- I love recaps. The tour did not come to my part of the world, so I have been experiencing it vicariously through others. Two of my Atop friends who live in this area went to Los Angeles, but I didn't join them. We did get together for lunch though and I heard all about it and they brought back some merchandise for me!
