Ohhhh K... I had
THE weirdest GNAFL flail EVAH today
Imagine this....
I'm at the hospital having my preliminary pre-radiation walk through, info talks with nurse about side effects etc, and then finally a cat scan.
So I'm positioned on the bed, arms on a T-bar behind me and told
NOT TO MOVE. They start marking me out, making me comfortable, cos this is the exact position I will have to stay in through every one of my treatments.
I'm nervous....
I start chattering inanely :
I say that this is surreal for me as this time last year I was in Manhattan preparing to go to a concert at the Nokia \o/
Technician says "ooh, I love New York - who did you go and see"
Ummmmm... Adam Lambert says I.
OMG! I love him... says she.
Really says I ;D
Yeah I do,
AND a friend of mine got to meet him in Ponsonby while he was having lunch the day before his concert here.
WHAT????????? said I????
it was more like WTF?, but I had to be polite given the circumstances...
And I CAN'T FUCKING MOVE to flail and squee appropriately. All I could do was roll my eyes and go OMG!
Ponsonby is a local, trendy, inner city Auckland suburb abounding in café culture and ethnic, designer clothing and upmarket shops. Apparently this lady, who lives there was just wandering down the street doing her own thang and walked past a café and saw Adam sitting outside. She kept going and went around the corner, then went OMFG, flailed and ran home (which wasn't far away) to get her CD. She then raced back to the restaurant and Adam saw her hovering with the CD and he not only signed it, but she got a picture with him, a hug and they talked for five fucking minutes. My technician said that her friend was over the moon (well hellz yeah) and that Adam was an absolute sweetheart (quelle surprise :
I am sooooooooooooooo..... jealous.
This is probably where Adam was when Neil, Sutan and Tommy went over to Waiheke Island and posted pics of them on the ferry etc. Has anyone got those pics....
Gelly? Because I was in the middle of final planning of my trip to OZ, I missed so much of my hometown flail at the time.
So, when I was finally let off the bed...lol, I was jabbering about how I had to let the fandom and the glamily know....

And a side LOL....
As part of my treatment today, I had to be given two permanent dot tattoos for marking and placement for the therapy. I seriously contemplated asking them would they mind making it a littler bigger and in the shape of an infinity symbol, or the Eye of Horus while I was there, but I didn't think they would understand where I was coming from really
