How does one put this evening into words? Well, let's repeat it one more time: Queen has always been a dear band for me.
However, before the show I was of the opinion that Freddie Mercury cannot be replaced. I mentioned earlier that Paul Rodgers did not make it work. He handled the rock songs but it was a different story with the more pop material. The songs did not fare well in the hands of a bluesrock singer. In Lambert's case the situation was different as the man has an astonishingly wide range and, let's just say that his tendencies in terms of his personal life are "a bit" closer to those of Freddie's than Rodgers who revels in his role as a macho man. However, before the show I kept wondering whether Lambert can jump into Freddie's rock cock boots? After having witnessed the show I can say that he can indeed. In the live setting, Mr Lambert proved to be a strangely charismatic performer and his vocal skills are something unfathomable. He had taken all the little but important nyances from Queen's songs and sang them simply brilliantly. But it would be an understatement to say that he was "poor man's" Freddie as Lambert sang the songs as his "own" with love while respecting the original versions. Freddie is gone but the music lives and is doing well. Thank you for that to the sirs of Queen and Adam Lambert.
Queen and Adam Lambert in Helsinki on June 3rd 2016 was one of the best concerts I have ever seen during my nearly 30 years of going to concerts.

I’ve had an avalanche of complaints – some of which you can see in our ‘Letters’ page – about Donald HeWhoCannot amed using our We Are The Champions track as his ‘theme’ song on USA TV. This is not an official Queen statement, but I can confirm that permission to use the track was neither sought nor given. We are taking advice on what steps we can take to ensure this use does not continue. Regardless of our views on Mr HeWhoCannot amed’s platform, it has always been against our policy to allow Queen music to be used as a political campaigning tool. Our music embodies our own dreams and beliefs, but it is for all who care to listen and enjoy.

Queen guitarist Brian May has vowed to stop Donald HeWhoCannot amed's campaign from using the band's music.
On Tuesday, after clinching the final round of Republican primaries, Donald HeWhoCannot amed walked onstage for his victory speech to Queen's triumphant anthem "We Are the Champions." Queen guitarist Brian May has issued a stern statement denouncing the usage of the song.
"I've had an avalanche of complaints – some of which you can see in our 'Letters' page – about Donald HeWhoCannot amed using our 'We Are The Champions' track as his 'theme' song on USA TV," May wrote on his website. "This is not an official Queen statement, but I can confirm that permission to use the track was neither sought nor given. We are taking advice on what steps we can take to ensure this use does not continue. Regardless of our views on Mr. HeWhoCannot amed's platform, it has always been against our policy to allow Queen music to be used as a political campaigning tool."
In the aforementioned "Letters" section of his site, May responded to a fan message pointing out the usage. "We certainly have not approved this use of ['We Are the Champions]," the musician responded. "I will make sure we take what steps we can to dissociate ourselves from Donald HeWhoCannot amed's unsavoury campaign."
May isn't the first musician to deny HeWhoCannot amed access to their catalogs. In September, after the politician used R.E.M.'s hit "It's the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" at a rally, singer Michael Stipe angrily responded, "Go fuck yourselves, the lot of you – you sad, attention-grabbing, power-hungry little men ... Do not use our music or my voice for your moronic charade of a campaign."
