Ouch 4EverAdam, please delete the pic. Sharka went to correct the slogan in the poster already. I confess it was my mistake - Sharka asked me for advice and I spelled the word "coach" wrong. On the other hand, I have to admit, this is quite a nice imaginery. :D already gone/deleted

QAL mention:
It is Sunday night on June 12. From the tour bus, I can hear Queen (all two of them) playing. “Somebody to Love” is filling the air and Adam Lambert is showing off with his vocal gymnastics. The man can sing his ass off. The audience is into it.
"There is a strange eternity and simultaneous rapid deterioration to rock music and its practitioners." In the festival setting, I have become used to hearing bands whose careers never seem to end. The night before, The Who (all two of them) headlined to great approval. It’s almost as if festivals are the gateway to dreams of the past, partially realized for an hour or two.
I reckon it must be a hell of a thing to be in Brian May’s shoes. You were in one of the greatest bands ever, with a singer who was beyond belief, and then he was gone. You are sitting on one of the best catalogs of recorded music and the only people playing it are in tribute bands. No wonder you might decide to get a new singer and get back out there.
There are probably thousands of people watching who weren’t alive when Freddie Mercury passed away in November 1991. Sounds like they’re having a great time. Now and then, a naked Brian May chord floats through the air and it’s just perfect.
There is a strange eternity and simultaneous rapid deterioration to rock music and its practitioners. The music lives forever, but the humans who make it are maturing and rotting gracefully, under far more scrutiny than regular folks. That these two bands still tour might strike some as a bit of an oversell, but at a festival, the sets have the feel of a celebration and tribute and work quite well.

Q3 I'm curious.. why do you suppose Iggy got offered such a high profile gig if she has such a bad rep and hasn't been doing well in the industry the last few years as you mentioned? I'm not Q3 but I didn't realize until reading the links she posted that Iggy was Australian. So she's well known by their desired audience and the troubles Q3 mentioned are mostly an American thing from what I saw so really no effect on the Australian audience. Save pi I pretty much agree with Jablea. Also, Iggy is famous, controversial and achieved global success in the past. Provocative personalities are usually good for TV ratings. That is very different than having music industry support and building a sustained career and having respect from other artists. Regarding her music career -- it is pretty much DOA everywhere including Australia. And while the issues with cultural appropriation are mostly an "American thing," the issues with the LGBT community are global.

Reasons why Adam Lambert will be a fantastic judge on The X FactorEarlier this week, it was revealed that Adam Lambert will join Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian as a judge on The X Factor in Australia and we've rounded up a selection of quotes that show why he's a great choice for the role. In a press release about the exciting news, the 'Ghost Town' sensation explained that he's really looking forward to this new chapter in his career: "I am very excited to join X Factor in Australia and am looking forward to helping people shine their brightest. Australia has always been one of my favourite places to tour. The Aussies I’ve met are so kind and good humoured - so the thought of getting to live in Sydney is very exciting." In 2012, he told the Associated Press that shows such as The Voice and The X Factor are great because they 'give people a platform' that isn't there otherwise:"I think that it's great that there are shows out there giving people that platform. It's really difficult to make it in the music industry. These shows are great because they show what the person is capable of and their journey and process of becoming an artist." Lambert also confessed that he never felt as if he was being controlled during his time on American Idol and told The Guardian newspaper that the support and creativity available was fantastic:"There was a lot of help involved, and there were a lot of songwriters involved, but I was making decisions: I like that song or I don't like that song. I wasn't being told what to do every step. I wasn't being controlled in that manner on the show, either." The star also took time out from his schedule in 2014 to take part in a special American Idol workshop, which he hosted with Chris Daughtry, and Randy Jackson explained that he asked Lambert to take part because he's such a great role model:"I wanted to have them [return to mentor]. They were actually in the trenches as people we were judging...and they can tell it from a completely different side. The two of them are so different, but they are also so equally, really, really talented. Both of their seasons, I thought both of them would win." In 2015, Lambert returned to Idol as a guest judge while Keith Urban was away and panelist Harry Connick Jr praised his abilities as a judge and mentor:"He was terrific, and having the perspective of someone who has been a contestant was really unique. It was so unfortunate, the circumstances having Keith not being there, but you couldn’t find a better replacement for him. Those shows were exciting. It was really cool."
