LOL in basketball this is a symbol of making the 3 point shot. We saw it a lot this year when Curry was on fire...not so much during the finals. Adam makes a similar gesture during Down the Rabbit Hole but touches the thumb to the middle finger...called a shocker, I believe, and is defined as having sexual connotations. Found this old vid and sharing just for the hell of it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTg4B6EAAzQ&index=1&list=RDrTg4B6EAAzQ

It resembles the Gyan Mudra.. esoteric explanation. Mudras Regulate the Five Elements of the Body* The Universe is composed of five elements, earth, air, water, fire, and ether. Similarly our body is also a union of five elements which is represented by our five fingers. Hand mudras regulate these five elements in our body. The fingers representing five elements are: the Thumb for Fire; the Index (Jupiter finger) for Air; the Middle (Saturn finger) for Ether or Space; the Ring (Sun finger) for Earth; the Pinky (Mercury finger) for Water. GUYAN MUDRA: The tip of the thumb touches the tip of the index finger, stimulating knowledge and ability. The index finger is symbolized by Jupiter, and the thumb represents the ego. Guyan Mudra imparts receptivity & calm. A mudra of knowledge, it enhances the knowledge. The tip of thumb correlates to the pituitary and endocrine glands. When you press these centers with the index finger the two glands work actively. Oh wow, Pi, thanks for the explanation. I knew it had to have some meaning for Adam. I thought I saw Brian do it a few times in some vid but I can't remember which one. Or....maybe I imagined it!lol

That is used as an OK signal by many, but that gesture is usually fingers very upright, palm facing whomever it is directed to, and made with force. 'Everything is Okay". You see also see this with someone meditating and the thumb/finger circle and fingers are gentle with palm up. More a relaxed hand, internal peace. In Adam's case while performing, he is very expressive and constantly giving movement and frequently meaning to the sound an lyrics. It seems fo me, that he sometimes makes this gesture as he touches a note or lyric gently. He often does this during WWTLF at "sweet moment set aside for us" OOOOORRRRR, it could be nothing. No, It's the 666 symbol of the illuminati...and with the t shirt Adam was wearing the other night, how will he ever quell the rumours now...??? OKay, okay, I cannot resist. In American Sign Language, this handshape with the fingers pointed sideways is the basis for the sign "asshole." No, I am not hypothesizing that Adam knows that, but it cracked me up to see the discussions of meaning. Just like a few concerts ago when, during KQ, I think, Adam wet his middle finger and traced his eyebrow. That is an American Sign Language sign for homosexual. So, be careful with your gestures, folks, as you don't know what you might inadvertently be saying. hahaha

Lol. My only comment would be to complain that they didn't they use a better pic of adam. And if people have a problem with this, they can refer to the gazillion reincarnations of the Abbey Road pic. Doesn't it seem that people are a lot more reverent of Freddie than any other deceased artist? His name isn't Freddie Mercury anymore, it's now "there will never be another Freddie Mercury". Quite the mouth full lol A mouthful, indeed. Wish I had a dollar for every time I saw or heard "there will never be another Freddie Mercury" written in a tweet, post, blog, news article, interview, news cast etc. I would have more than enough money to follow QAL around on a world tour. In a nutshell that's the Freddie legal disclaimer aka #fld I think it's legislated somewhere that it has to accompany any mention of QAL

I noticed he did the gesture at 2:20 in the KQ video above and then adjusted his earpiece a bit later. I really don't think this particular gesture( thumb to index finger) has any connection to his sound guy. Where he did it during KQ, there is no way the sound guy could even see it as the sound guy is main stage left and Adam is a on the B stage facing the audience. During WWTLF in Brussells Adam does signal the sound guy, shortly before the thumb to index finger gesture, with his right hand doing the more knob-turning wrist roll little finger to index finger fold. Watch at 1:05ish you can see both happen. youtu.be/-YzAd-c629YIn Sofia, while he meddles with his earpieces, he does not appear to signal the sound guy but does posture the phrase "at one sweet moment" in a very similar manor. At about 0.49 youtu.be/XaAId52aBBII doubt direct sight line is required as there is a camera on Adam...that is all the sound man needs...
