I am going to post something odd but good..... In scanning the articles about celebrity reaction to Gay Marriage approval in NY, I am very pleased that Adam is NOT in every article as "the gay singer". And that many of the celebrities who are quoted as supporting this change are not gay. IMO this is great because Adam will be most successful if he is known as a singer-songwriter who just happens to be gay. And, more importantly, we will only get real equality when the majority of Americans believe it is right -- not just when one minority is fighting for their rights. Definitely good thought. Sometimes it is best to blend into the background. Adam is definitely a player, like it or not, in the gay civil rights movement, but since he doesn't seem to want the soapbox, I think it's good that it's only an occasional mention when it is pertinent that reminds us of that fact. Right now, it's all about # 2, everything else just a footnote. |

I get it...I too was 'pleased' to see that his RT was not one used it lots of the mentions. The more he is thought of as a singer first, the better....just as he wants. Honestly, by design or luck he makes the right moves, always, LOL Or he has a really good guardian angel who watches over him. I think there are also a lot of "berts" in the media. Most, if not all, of those meeting him over the last two years like/love him. This should really make a difference in his treatment for #2! JMHO |

Just commenting on something from Idol that I did not notice before. It is a slow day and I am watching my Idol8 dvd [thanks Abriton!] and during the glimpse we got of the 'backstage' antics of creating the Magic Show Ford commercial we see McIntyre nervously ask for assurance that they don't have him wearing anything PINK.
Am I the only one that missed that....we discussed at great length Gokey and his families attitudes and the 'conversion' of Sarver but this comment -- not so much. JS...
