Guy Sebastian reveals revamped X Factor Australia will be 'brutal' with more hopefuls sent home each week in dramatic shake-up
The new season of The X Factor Australia will be more 'brutal' after producers opted to slash the number of live shows and send more people home each week, according to Guy Sebastian.
The popular judge revealed there will be one less category and that the audition, boot camp and home visit segments will be condensed as part of a dramatic shake-up to combat struggling ratings.
'The live shows will be culled right down; there will be heaps less. So the process will be pretty brutal,' Guy told The Daily Telegraph.
He also said that reducing the judging panel from four to three will mean the Channel Seven show has a faster pace.
The Battle Scars singer will be sitting alongside Iggy Azalea and Adam Lambert - both of whom he believes will bring a more youthful energy to the show.
