my guess (and I think didn't Adam say this at a meet n' greet once?) is that the bridge of PUU is too difficult to sing on a regular basis, that it was constructed in the studio. I know there was a fan report of hearing him sing it at sound check and nail the bridge once, but never an audio of this. I also think that FYE was perhaps added late and shortened, not just because of flow/story-telling reasons, but because it is the one song where Adam sounds better studio than live. It doesn't seem to be in his right range or something until he gets to the wail-ey parts. Of course both of these songs could maybe have been tweaked until they worked consistently well live for him, but maybe he didn't have time, and other songs worked better so it wasn't worth it. ETA: Isn't CLYG also a vocal-chord shredding number if it's done regularly? I'd still love to hear this or PUU live just once, but I'm thinking the window for this happening before era 2 is almost closed. But I keep waiting for some Adam music to show up on soundtracks for film/tv, and for maybe some of these neglected songs, or some from album 2 that have a lot of emotional punch, to be perfect for some scene. I really want to see some of the music he wrote on in film/tv as well. There is nice money there, and I would like him to have it. Hopefully this will be more lucrative with Adam 2 as he is writing on so many of the songs and now he has a publishing deal. |

on my wish list...acoustic version of CLYG An acoustic version would be awesome. One of the DDD guys did a cover of it if you want to know what it may sound like. |

Aw, so happy for Adam that Sauli is back, and they are sharing fireworks together,  Sauli sounds so happy and bright and positive in his tweet. Gelly, you are a saint for wishing for no pictures. It is a beautiful day here in L.A., and by the time I get home I will have air-conditioning again. Life is good and will be even better after next week, when my summer school session ends. I am looking forward to July 4th, too. My son will be home from his European tour, my youngest is still here with us and his g/f is flying in from NYC as well, so the celebrations should be the best! We will likely be in Venice a good deal of the time this weekend, so I will keep my eye out for the happy couple.  |
