Me too!! My dream for BO has always been to find it's way into a movie. It's such a little masterpiece it deserves a wider audience. A lot of his songs would be great in movies. These fan vids one with Twilight one a collection of images from various LBGT Pride events give some idea how beautiful it could be. www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KEue-7MsyYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=2ywvzJy19w8But...but...but...Broken Open already is in a movie, for me at least 8-). Every time I listen to it on headphones my life magically turns into a movie with a wonderfully atmospheric sound-track and the images around me go into this kind of slow motion and I could swear the opening credits of "Midwifespal: The Movie," starring midwifespal, just finished rolling. Ever listen to that song on a good pair of headphones while sitting on a train? The changing lights of the passing outdoor landscape filter and flit through the windows, on off, on off, and the strangers around you gain this kind of character-actor significance as they silently interact with each other, and your own gaze becomes somehow omniscient as the music buzzes and blips and Adam's voice pours out to fill your isolation. Most cinematic experience of my life. Love it. Have you been into those funny mushrooms again MWP? Just kidding, I love your description of experiencing BO and I bet Adam would too. |

Most cinematic experience of my life. Love it. I am visualizing that movie right along with you. You are making me see it in my mind. I have two states: one is the state where I am the only one at home, and then I love when Adam's voice fills my isolation. The other state is when everyone is home, along with various friends and relatives and now babies, and the guys are in the band room jamming together, and my life is full of mainly wonderful noise, noise, noise--and then I remove myself from all of it for awhile, and Adam's voice gives me some isolation from everything else going on in my busy world. Either way, it is all good and makes life better. Oh, yeah, his music also helps make long freeway drives so much more pleasant. I am in a much happier state while driving than I used to be pre-Adam. ETA: Summer school doesn't start until 10:00. Every job should start no earlier than 10:00. That would also make me happier. ;D |

on my wish list...acoustic version of CLYG An acoustic version would be awesome. One of the DDD guys did a cover of it if you want to know what it may sound like. Interesting...I was thinking even softer...this guy's take still sounded a bit overwrought to me. :D |

Aww, so happy for both of them! Such a fun and exciting chapter in both their lives, and they get to share it with someone they love... Also, I'd like full credit for calling it on Monday, when I posted that I had a feeling that Sauli would be back in the US for the holiday weekend How big is this holiday 4th of July, do you celebrate much? And in case you're interested, this is a holiday weekend for Canada also, except not July 4 like in the US but July 1 which is Canada Day, our country's birthday! |
