With the release of David Cook's new album, only interested because of AI and how his sales may reflect on Adam #2, Sasha, I love her and want her to do really well.........I think I am starting to stress

@greg_wells
writing with @ekiddbogart is like having joseph campbell, larry david, and bootsy collins all in one package. nice package, evan.Sounds intriguing, no? This part especially is kinda tantalizing. It's always been my secret hope that funk is one of the places where Adam's love of energetic, danceable, rhythm-based music can intersect with his powerful voice and wish for a more organic sound. ETA: Nikka Costa=pretty damn funky, too Dare we hope ? According to this YT all we need to do is remember .... One! Bring on the funk, bb!!!!

Scroll; this is a little snippet of what Joseph Campbell taught me. All I can say, as a reader and an understanding soul of the philosophy of Joseph Campbell, is if there ever was a person who personifies "follow your bliss" - who understands you will never, ever, be happy if you try to become what others want of you - - - it is Adam Fucking Lambert! Years ago I read Joseph Campbell. He articulated what just spun in me. And I took this philosophy, so simple. to my sons. Follow your bliss. Choked a little when two boys left college - in their senior year. After Olympic Trials, one stopped swimming. Ready for his degree in mathematics, one left for his shot at major league baseball. I had a few moments of panic. It has all become what it should be. My boys, following their bliss, have found a reason. So have I.

Interesting that he just started following Lenny Kravitz today as well. Love his brand of rock/funk. SusieFierce
Do you think he's following him because of music or Hunger Games? By the way, my friend's obnoxious 11yr old just ordered HG on his Kindle. Is it appropriate for 11yr olds? Haven't read it yet.

And after your kitty has had a glass or two: Don't worry. I am soooo excited for Adam 2 and I think Sasha will do great too. I don't know that the general public associates Cook and Adam. Cook may have done better, but there were some key issues (from what I've gathered from reviews, comments, twitteralysis, etc.). The main thing is too much time passed between his debut and his sophomore album, the album sounds very much like a genre that started burning out about a year ago and the album doesn't take a lot of chances musically to distinguish itself. Things ARE tough out there. Beyonce should have been guaranteed HUGE numbers, but hers are nowhere near what they would have been just a year ago. I am really excited to see what Adam creates and how everything plays out. Oh, some people on Twitter were watching the BTM for Missy Elliot and they said it was very well done. There is about :15-:20 of childhood and background, then they really get in deep with the music, so hopefully we'll see some of his Upright stuff and Zodiac, etc.

What isn't there yet will be found when he reads the saga again.
