When I heard Adam is doing George Micheal's song, I really would love him to sing "Careless Whisper". It's such a beautiful & emotional song.

With the beat of Faith, maybe we will see some grooving -- " fresh and hip" dance moves -- as per some of the free style and choreographed types on the TOH tour. I do not think this is a stand and deliver song. It needs movement, some back up dancers or something beyond the "voice" ---to spice up the performance. It would be awesome for TV viewers who have not seen Adam in concert on the TOH tour or with Queen seeing the voice and an entertainment "package". That's what I am hoping for! Can't wait!

I think we gotta have faith that Adam will make the performance as special as he can! If not by a lot of range with his voice I think he will show us his interpretation and he will probably make it a show to remember. The only sad thing about this is that the show is in the middle of the night for me and for one song it's a bit long to stay awake. Especially as we don't know when he's up. Can we expect them to do this according to the period the songs were popular? Then he is up pretty early with Faith.

And tbf Faith was prob gM biggest hit. #1 in us, and top ten around the world. And 1988 the year I was born :D. Was the biggest selling single in the US. So you know, makes sense. Careless Whisper seeing i listined to it would hve been great too. But Faith seems to a very upbeat song, He well need to have a bit of choreography. Dancing e.t.c. So I am actually looking forward to this. As a straight male of course lol.

I am thrilled that Adam will be singing on TV tomorrow night! I am confident he will look stunning and kill the song. I am less than thrilled about the song he will sing. Yes, it is catchy, but musically, it has a very simple melody with very little range, most of it lying between only 6 notes. It has nothing in it that would show off Adam's exceptional voice. Adam would have to do extensive riffing, improvising, and recreating to give himself anything like a challenge with the song, vocally. He is just too good for such a simple little ditty. IMO. Adam has done some wonderful things with simple, well-known pop songs. ETA: Based on the sheet music - "Faith" is the same vocal range as "Mad World." George Michael altered "Faith" in some of his live performances -- but I expect Adam to stay pretty close to the single version. "Faith" has lyrics that are very emotional and I think he could use other dimensions of his voice on this one. And these lyrics really suit him.... Well I guess it would be nice If I could touch your body I know not everybody Has got a body like you
But I've got to think twice Before I give my heart away And I know all the games you play Because I play them too
Oh but I Need some time off from that emotion Time to pick my heart up off the floor And when that love comes down Without devotion Well it takes a strong man baby But I'm showing you the door
'Cause I gotta have faith...
Baby I know you're asking me to stay Say please, please, please, don't go away You say I'm giving you the blues Maybe You mean every word you say Can't help but think of yesterday And another who tied me down to lover boy rules
Before this river Becomes an ocean Before you throw my heart back on the floor Oh baby I reconsider My foolish notion Well I need someone to hold me But I'll wait for something more
Yes I've gotta have faith...

My thought is that Adam will sing it straight up! After all, it is a Greatest Hits show & they are honoring the hit George Michaels made. The difference will be Adam's voice.

I agree -- Adam will stay within the spirit of the show and perform it mostly true to the single version. I think he will probably do more with emotion than George Michael did when this was recorded. Adam has a lot of experience in performing a song in a respectful way and infusing it with a bit of his personality from Q+AL. It does not seem like the producers wanted creativity in the performances -- they have a gay tenor covering a song done by a gay tenor. **** I am pleased Adam is getting to do a song that is upbeat, allows him to dance, and that has emotional lyrics.
