My thought is that Adam will sing it straight up! After all, it is a Greatest Hits show & they are honoring the hit George Michaels made. The difference will be Adam's voice. I agree -- Adam will stay within the spirit of the show and perform it mostly true to the single version. I think he will probably do more with emotion than George Michael did when this was recorded. Adam has a lot of experience in performing a song in a respectful way and infusing it with a bit of his personality from Q+AL. It does not seem like the producers wanted creativity in the performances -- they have a gay tenor covering a song done by a gay tenor. **** I am pleased Adam is getting to do a song that is upbeat, allows him to dance, and that has emotional lyrics.

As someone who is going, I am disappointed that Celine is not there, live! I was so looking forward to hearing her voice live.

Idolator gives us a lot of Adam news lately! Great to see that! idolator @idolator .@adamlambert to cover @georgemichael's smash "Faith" on @greatesthitsabc finale this week idola.to/2azMkWBAdam Lambert, Ariana Grande, Celine Dion To Perform On ‘Greatest Hits’ Finale ABC’s summer series Greatest Hits wraps up for the season this Thursday, August 4, and we’ve scandalously not even tuned it once (save for that clip of Meghan Trainor performing “I Want It That Way” with Backstreet Boys). But it’s looking like the finale might just be the time to finally check it out, given the lineup of performers. The last episode of the season is a two hour one that’s set to features Adam Lambert covering George Michael’s “Faith,” Ariana Grande doing not one, but two Whitney Houston songs (“How Will I Know” and “Queen Of The Night”) and Celine Dion performing her Academy Award-winning Titanic theme song, “My Heart Will Go On” (albeit remotely, from Montreal). Additionally, John Legend will tackle a pair of songs of Lauryn Hill’s classic The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill album, and — what a time to be alive, folks — Flo Rida will perform a “tribute to hip hop.” Viewers overseas will also get much more of an eyeful of Adam Lambert (opposite Iggy Azalea and Guy Sebastian) once The Voice Australia begins airing its sixth season, while here in the States we’ll be seeing him in the role of Eddie in Fox’s reboot of The Rocky Horror Picture Show this October.

I am thrilled that Adam will be singing on TV tomorrow night! I am confident he will look stunning and kill the song. I am less than thrilled about the song he will sing. Yes, it is catchy, but musically, it has a very simple melody with very little range, most of it lying between only 6 notes. It has nothing in it that would show off Adam's exceptional voice. Adam would have to do extensive riffing, improvising, and recreating to give himself anything like a challenge with the song, vocally. He is just too good for such a simple little ditty. IMO. My thoughts exactly. Would have loved to hear something like Careless Whisper but as you say it's so thrilling he'll be on tv and we all know he's going to sound just great and look gorgeous. I like the song Faith very much. But I agree it is not much of a challenge for Adam. I hope he gets a little creative with it, just enough to show off his voice. There will be plenty of TV viewers who will NOT know much about Adam at all. They need to see him in all his vocal glory and visual beauty. Maybe some new Glamberts will be born tomorrow night!!!

Challenging songs don't do much on top forty but "simple little ditties" get you in the radio.
