You probably have a point there LindaG23. I also thought that he deliberately didn't want to look like GM. Maybe that's also why he shaved most of the melvin away. No shades also. He could have looked way more like GM then he did, but it seemed to me he chose to stay close to himself. Show Adam and not the cover version of GM. He looked gorgeous! Ok, I admit I'm late to the party but why would he want to look like GM? We're saying he didn't want to and that was the point; closer shave, no sunglasses, no sway dancing, and a shirt with flowers.

"We have a multi-talented child of the '80s born back in 1982," said co-host Kelsea Ballerini as she introduced the American Idol Season 8 alum. Lambert had a blast, throwing in some hip swivels and megawatt charm as he took on Michael's "Faith" at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater. "The boy can sing," surmised host Arsenio Hall. The show -- which featured hits from 1980 through 2005 -- also included performances by Ariana Grande, Celine Dion, Flo Rida, John Legend, Hunter Hayes with Smash Mouth, Nelly, Richard Marx, Men at Work frontman Colin Hay, and Sheryl Crow, who paired up with Ballerini. Next up for Lambert: taking on judge responsibilities for The X Factor Australia and starring as Eddie in the Fox revival of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Watch his performance of "Faith" below:

And there you go, people were expecting hip swiveling and there was no GM-style hip swiveling. There was a little chest popping and some knee bopping. Billboard needs to watch the performance.

He looked gorgeous and sounded great!!! Right?!!! I'm so glad that he was part of this show as one of a select group of today's talented performers called upon to pay tribute to popular and talented performers of the past. It seems to me that his star just keeps on rising, and I think the RHPS role will launch him even higher. I remember fuming at comments on articles that appeared shortly after Idol that Adam was destined for a mere 15 minutes of fame. I'd love to hear what those naysayers would have to say now!
