And there you go, people were expecting hip swiveling and there was no GM-style hip swiveling. There was a little chest popping and some knee bopping. Billboard needs to watch the performance. Well it as a great review by Billboard for Adam's performance so I'll take whatever their positive remarks even if Adam didn't do a lot of 'hip swiveling'!lol Adam was still sexy...he is just a sexy man.

Why all the negativity and cynicsim? I don't get. I mean why are most above all pop songs. OH the song is boring. I mean does Adam have to sing a emotive ballad, so it connects with the feels lol? Sorry I don't really care. He was on live tv, sounded great. That is what is most important. IT is not like Faith is his song, so he has nothing to lose either way. He reintroduced himself to an audience, who may have forgotten about him. Or discovered him, and gone out and bought his album off itunes, or streamed his music on youtube or spotify. To me that is the most important part, new fans. ETA: Not having a go at anyone here, just comments I have seen. Just watched itm he did great. The song did not require any more octaves then 1 tbh. He sang it right in key. And showed alot of great resonnce and tone, that kinda reminded me of GM's vocals. HE was having fun, the audience loved Adam. As audeinces always do haha. So win win for me. Adam looked wonderful. Beautiful. That radiant smile. He made the most of the song, sang it well. I am happy he was on national TV again. Why am I less than thrilled that he sang that song? Why does it matter to me? Imagine that you finally got a reservation at a popular Michelin Start restaurant with a James Beard Award winning chef who is the best in the business. You are famished and cannot wait to taste his renowned cuisine. The food arrives and it is a hot dog with coleslaw and baked beans. It's prepared perfectly. The coleslaw has just the right amount of spice and vinegar. The beans are made with molasses. All in all, it could not have been prepared better. But it is a hot dog, coleslaw and baked beans! Not what my senses were craving! Cassie, I'm not quite buying your analogy. I have not heard it yet but I know the song and to expect lobster from "Faith" is really asking alot. I'm confident that Adam will sing it well. Have to say though that I'm not expecting anything more than a hearty helping of cotton candy. Sweet and tasty.

Right?!!! I'm so glad that he was part of this show as one of a select group of today's talented performers called upon to pay tribute to popular and talented performers of the past. It seems to me that his star just keeps on rising, and I think the RHPS role will launch him even higher. I remember fuming at comments on articles that appeared shortly after Idol that Adam was destined for a mere 15 minutes of fame. I'd love to hear what those naysayers would have to say now! My SIL lives in California and she knows how I have been a huge fan of Adam's from Idol on. She emailed me tonight "I hear a lot of buzz about Adam. He is really happening." She has some family/friends ties to the industry so this was really exciting to hear!!

Journalist. Cat lover. Foodie. 90s R&B scholar. I interview your favs. Currently yelling about pop music for @latimes. Read his feed. According to him, Adam was the only good thing about the whole show. The place was half empty and the audience was pissed that so many performers were taped. I wondered why adam wasn't hyping this more. Maybe he realized it was kinda lame

I don't get it if it is the series finalie, why tape all the performances. Would of loved to see Celine Dion sing MY Heart Well go on from one of my all time fav movies Titanic. Per usual Adam has to save the show lol. I hope this leads to more us tv performances. Adam's selling point is live tv. And the audience deserve to see him on tv more often. Their is something old fashioned about him, he seems to have an old rock soul. He is rare in pop culture he is. And I Think someone as unique as Adam should be performing on all the big shows including the Grammys. Guess depends on if he gets a hit single on the radio. STill waiting for that Ama performance haha.
