I thought he looked great and did a great job. "Faith" is not really a balls-out glory note type of song. The range is limited and steady. I've always liked the song, but it wasn't the kind of song that really showed off Adam's voice in a big way. I loved the way Adam moved on the stage. And the shirt was really fun. I didn't watch the whole thing. Had to get other stuff done tonight. Glad Adam was on early. I agree that there might be something to be said about him not wanting to be too much like GM. Adam hates being a copy-cat. You have no idea how many people still think that "Adam cannot sing but screeches" (I know, stupid people living under rocks) due to AI impressions. So covering a simple song faithfully (pun intended) without any glory notes might be the best thing at this point for a TV reintroduction. Add to that the nearly invisible Melvin, and you have the perfect charming package for prime time TV. kryptoman, you are 1000% correct in my book. Often times less is more. This was a great look and performance.

Faith was a BB #1 in the 80s and they found the perfect person to sing it.

I loved it .. Adam did a great job.. he's is the best.. He just got out there and SANG.. no bells and whistles just a great voice with a great song and a great dance beat.. The audience seemed to love this performance. Now I know why this song was so popular...I think it could be really popular on today's radio. I loved it! What charisma

I think he looked fantastic and did a wonderful job with that song. It's POP and not meant to be mind blowing. Reminds me of the Country Music Awards show where people were shocked to see how gorgeous he looked and how smooth his voice was. The majority of people in the US still thought of him with glitter, eye makeup and crazy clothes and were pleasantly surprised. I feel like this may be his "push" into American TV again. Something is up the way David Wild has been raving about him. Yes, I think you might be right.
