According to Wikipedia Adam sold 3 million albums worldwide and 5 million singles His one million albums is way off. He sold 1 million of FYE in the US alone. 3 million, world wide, is a much better estimate. It is certainly over 2 million. From his WBR official bio -- "Lambert released his successful RCA Records debut, For Your Entertainment, which has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide and featured the Grammy-nominated radio smash,"Whataya Want From Me.”" I don't think that there is another million plus in album sales from Trespassing and TOH but we do not have official numbers for those albums. The album sold 197,000 copies in the US as of May 2015 (last official number that I can recall) -- my estimate is 400,000 worldwide. TOH not counting streaming and TEA is probably around 150,000 worldwide. So that puts him at 1.9 million + 400,000 + 150,000 = 2.45 million albums sold worldwide -- much more than the article credits him with. Plus, he as a #1 album and a Grammy nomination and etc. etc. |

Might be a silly Question. But how come Adam does not sell as much as the heavy hitter, like Adele e.t.c. IS it because he came from idol? I get Carrie and Kelly were around a time, before the mp3 age. Record sales were stronger. But alot of artists still sell big. Adam's sales a modest. But I have always wondered what is holding him back from, being i don't know the male equivalent to Adele. Is it the kinda music he is making, bad timing? I don't know.
