Might be a silly Question. But how come Adam does not sell as much as the heavy hitter, like Adele e.t.c. IS it because he came from idol? I get Carrie and Kelly were around a time, before the mp3 age. Record sales were stronger. But alot of artists still sell big. Adam's sales a modest. But I have always wondered what is holding him back from, being i don't know the male equivalent to Adele. Is it the kinda music he is making, bad timing? I don't know. I think it's mostly about the music and the "sweet spot" that you need to hit with the masses in order to sell millions of albums. Adele for me is a perfect example - a rather ordinary woman making it big as her music clicks with large audiences worldwide. There seems to be no easy recipe to achieve that level of success, but authenticity and a bit of luck seem to be key. I too can imagine Adam as a male version of Adele (as he can pull off power ballads so well) but he makes and likes different music. ...and he has certainly achieved noteworthy levels of success already. |

What? lol IMHO, one reason is that you have to be heard inorder to sell... Adam needs more radio play..That's a big reason ...song also has to appeal to the masses. You don't need a great voice ,you need a GREAT song.Adam's music may not appeal to the masses,although I love most of his songs. I was shocked that Bruno Mar's new popular song took being played endlessly on radio before it became a massive hit.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPf0YbXqDm0When I first heard Uptown funk I was like how is this not a Hit... it's a great dance song & Being played over and over again on radio did the trick....Plus Bruno Mars has millions upon millions of fans who are just waiting for a new release...I have hated some of AdamLevine's music and yet after being plyed for the 1,000,000,0000,000 times on radio, I capitulate and it becomes background music Ultimately, finding that popular song is a crap shoot to add when MTV had their top 20 songs on TV Adam usually was on that list ... you have to be seen and heard ...OK I'm done.. sorry for my rambling on and on..LOL |
