SusieFierce -- you make a really good point. I think it is also the first time Adam has thanked a specific fan too. adamlambert Adam Lambert @artistsupporter Happy Belated Birthday Sherrie!!! thanks for all you do! 10 hours ago It is almost unheard of for celebrities to tweet message to specific fans -- even if they do special stuff. There are many other ways to thank fans. Probably would have been better if Adam had sent her flowers or a direct tweet. But it will be somewhat forgotten in a few more hours. I'm very confused about why there is so much hostility about a tweet to a favorite fan. No matter why he is acquainted with her it is a nice gesture. If it was Suz526 or one of the other popular fans eveyone would have been jumping up and down as they do anytime he sends a personal tweet. Just as a footnote - Adam has done quite a few things that are unheard of for other celebrities. When I started skimming yesterday's thread at midnight I have to say it was a real downer. Jealousy is just as unattractive as entitlement. JMVHO I am still hoping it was the result of too many Pina Coladas to celebrate the glorious day.

Heh heh heh. Can't resist making one more comment. "Patrons of the Arts" - i.e. guys with money who like contributing to whatever cultural style they like best - tend not to do it quietly. - Dale Carnegie slapped his name on Carnegie Hall.
- The Rockefellers slapped their names on Rockefeller Center
- The Meyerhoffs slapped their name on Symphony Hall (and a batch of other stuff in Baltimore to boot).
- The Kennedy Center and Wolftrap proudly list the names of their sponsors in well publicized "Donor Circles".
Lord knows I've enjoyed the products of the generosity of all these people. Despite the fact that, frankly, a lot of these people made their money in ways that weren't terrible genteel. Sherrie's a heck of a step down from - say - Dale Carnegie. However, the thought process for me is the same. I just don't see any problem in Sherrie putting her name out there. Kudos for her for putting out the money in the first place. So few people have the financial ability to support the arts, and those who DO have the ability commonly choose not to support to these days. I have family members who work in opera. One as a singer, one behind the scenes as an administrator. It is BAD these days. I think people like Sherrie are gems. Wish there were more like them. JMO.

ETA: BTW - the fact that I can go back 500 years and still find out with a button click that Ludovico Sforza (no idea who this dude is) was the person who paid for Leonardo da Vinci to paint the Last Supper...just shows that "patrons" have regularly not been quiet about what they handed out cash for!! ;D ETA: Not that I'm comparing Adam to da Vinci. I flove Adam, but THAT comparison isn't valid!!

Just an unfounded thought about this all. I know that a lot of people felt that AS should not have been associated with ALF, but what if she helped fund it? And I believe that Adam does know her personally, so is it so surprising that he would tweet her.

Exactly how I feel^^^^^^ I'm really late to this discussion, but I don't think expressing one's dislike of another person necessarily means they are jealous. I don't know this Sherrie and I'm certainly not jealous of anything about her. It doesn't matter to me who Adam tweets. I do find Sherrie to be a little creepy since I understand she is one of those fans that believes "Kradam really happened". From what I've read she was a big believer in all that craziness. Plus, she has always seemed like one of those fans who is constantly trying to work her way into Adam's friend circle. (which I always find creepy) She is just wealthy enough to do it with money instead of stalking behavior. I've also read some info on her concerning some of her tweets and blogs that makes me have a dislike for her in general. Personally, I'm glad she isn't a mod at ALF anymore.

What has to do about this person is very complicated to even discuss it in a forum and I don't want to continue this discussion but it hurts me for you to believe that is has anything to do with jealousy. I'll quote SusieFierce and what she said about this. ETA I see tigerlily expressed many of these complex matters concerning this person. Read them and you'll probably understand what we're talking about.
