Hope something a little OT is ok while we wait. Last Mon.(6/27) there was a little blurb in the Arts Weekly section of the Times about rave reviews for a new modern production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Ontario. Apparently, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice both saw it and loved it and there may be a possibility of it having a life after the festival, maybe even in NY. Anyway, that seemed kind of interesting, so I checked out the festival site and read some reviews. One reviewer called the actor playing Judas "scary good", so I had to see what the fuss was about. Here's a little sample with Paul Nolan as Jesus (he was really sick w/bronchitis but went on because it was opening night) and Josh Young as Judas (in the blue suit). I really wish ALW could hear Adam sing. [/youtub"] ETA Thanks again to Tinafea and Holst who showed me how to embed youtubes
Thanks for this. He was good, but I think Adam could mop the floor with him vocally. He kept things very low and I'm very used to the Carl Anderson version (because I've listened to it 927,829 times), who sings it with Adam's type of dynamism and power.

I was expecting something totally different after seeing the glowing reviews. If he is "scary good", I think Adam would be bone-chillingly, spine tinglingly, petrifyingly good. I kind of liked the staging/modern vibe, but the singing was pretty ordinary.

I tried to find the article that talked about the album, but couldn't find anything that referrenced the Nov. drop date......must have been hallucinating! Sorry for the confusion I saw this link on Pulse, maybe this is where you saw it? Scroll down a little to read the post. It states they are shooting for November, but nothing definitive. www.queenmadonna.com/newsen.htmThanks.....I feel better, now

I guess I missed Tommy's S&M-inspired costume at the AMAs Also, call me crazy here, but I KIND OF think a Grammy nomination and a sold-out headlining world tour MIGHT rate a little higher on the "Career High" category then mentoring AI9 (though he killed that too). In all, not bad. On next page, they say Gokey is "in the fast lane." Okay ...

Yeah, really crazy that Rolling Stone didn't mention the grammy nomination as Adam's peak. I don't get that! :
