Bass made his comments during an appearance on Larry King Now. “Definitely,” Bass told host Larry King. “If you're in this business, especially music, you see how backwards...” “And yet we have some amazing gay artists,” King interrupted. “That's true. Finally we do,” Bass responded. “And then there's amazing gay artists that just don't get the support.” “Because they're gay?” “Bottom line is what the record labels look at. They just want to make money. And if this artist isn't going to pull in this many fans because they're gay, they're not going to support them as much,” Bass said. “Adam Lambert is a great example of that. He's so freaking talented and could be pushed so much harder but I think just because he's gay the record label doesn't put him out there as much.”Bass added that he's saddened that homophobia in country music keeps him from being a country music star. “I grew up wanting to be a country singer. So, the fact that I know I'll never be able to really do it because I'm gay is really sad,” Bass said. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNbEU4EmaasLance Bass on homophobia in music | Larry King Now | Ora.TV Larry King Whoa....I wonder what Warner Bros and Adam think of Lance Bass's statement about him? Wonder if this will make the media rounds? I think it's still a hold over from Trespassing and RCA which Warner Bros probably agrees with. Save

I think the lyric video shows up well in this setting which is why they did it that way as opposed to a filmed vid.

Wow Thank you all soooo much for your kind words. I just needed to write my thoughts down, never imagined that you liked my writings. It means so much to me, that all are so kind to me and so understanding of my need to remember the Ladies and the love for Music. Thanks

Whoa....I wonder what Warner Bros and Adam think of Lance Bass's statement about him? Wonder if this will make the media rounds? Lance is entitled to his opinion, and doesn't have to answer to Warner or to Adam. My guess would be that Adam wouldn't like that statement, because he never likes to be depicted as a victim. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes, wish I did, but I guess all labels are motivated by money, and how much an artist can earn them, whether gay or straight. Since Warner had such a bizarre choice for a second single from TOH album, my best guess would be that they were obligated to MM that the first two singles out of this album are songs written by his team. ALN killed all the buzz around the album, so they chose not to spend any money on TOH (the single), because they weren't obligated to the writers of that song. That's just my uneducated opinion, and I'd love to hear other opinions from people who are more savvy re the music industry.
