Mys*&@^#r... I think I would feel weird too.. I think she could have just announced that this would be her last time on the road.. instead of ranting about it. I realize she has her own way of expressing things. but that just seems rude. IKR! I've never seen a performer before who announced before her tour, "Oh, by the way, I really hate doing this!" :-/ Many performers say they hate touring.... One of the more famous: Does Michael Jackson Like Touring (Find Out Here) www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpchM9BWgQ0Video is actually a bit sad and quite funny.

This is the second time in about a month that she's gone on one of these I hate touring, I hate performing rants. Tonight though, she added, I want to have a baby. Susie, maybe we should sell our tickets and watch BTM instead!! (I kid!!) I want to see her and predict her show will be awesome! Plus we get to see Oh Land too!

I dont know that this twitter silence is a strategy. Maybe it is, but it could be he is creatively hyperfocused on finishing the album now, and then completely romantically hyperfocused on Sauli in his down time, lol. In all seriousness, I live with creative people who forget everything else but the art project at hand when they are deep in the process of creating. Maybe that is partially responsible for the silence.
Who knows? When he gets ready to promote the Cd we will see him, and like you guys, that can't come soon enough for me!

I think that Adam will take time off from the studio this weekend. He usually takes breaks and does not work 7 days straight.
I hope that he decides to spend a tiny bit of that on Twitter. But whatever he need to do to finish this album is fine with me.

Adam is all grown up. His music will also be seasoned.... Wonder what it will be .... I know he has grown a lot these last two years and he has been working hard. This has to be stressful because he knows how important this album is. I only hope that he hasn't lost the joy that we love so much. I wonder if he knows how much we love him and I wonder if it still confuses him.

Yeah, exactly. I'm from the mind that total deprivation is more likely to foster frustration than fuel interest. I think small leaks are much more beneficial. They tease to nurture and build anticipation, but don't get people to the point that A. They lose interest or B. They start getting annoyed. I understand the need to curb leaks, etc. I kind of think the leak to Beyonce's Run the World (Girls) contributed to its problems. The actual track wasn't nearly as bad as the leaked demo, but the buzz was already out on it. (Still wasn't a great song in the grand scheme of things.) However, I still contend that he can toss us a moldy crust of bread without revealing anything about the music. I think this is so true. When I heard the leaked version of "Run the World (Girls)" I was asking all my friends, "what the hell?" It was a mess. The actual album track sounds different to me than the first version I heard, plus the parts that I found offensive were removed. I listened to the stream of Beyonce's CD on AOL out of curiosity, with no expectation that I would like it based on the first single. I fell in love with it. I was probably on my dozenth listen when Adam tweeted about it. I know already that 4 will be one of my favorite albums of the year. It's only the second Beyonce CD I've ever bought (and the first one was actually a Destiny's Child CD!), even though I have liked several of her singles through the years. I never felt compelled to purchase because she's everywhere, and I'm never lacking the opportunity to hear a Beyonce song--even though I don't listen to the radio much I still always hear her. But I really wanted to own this new album. Her vocals are upfront, and some songs are stripped back with a piercing, straight-to-the-core quality. It's emotionally honest and a bit old-school sounding while still being current. (I've even done a complete 180 and I really like "Run the World" now.) If Adam draws any inspiration from her latest CD or her process, it can only mean good things. I watched this VH1 video, Beyonce: Year of 4, earlier this week. (I hope we get an Adam behind-the-scenes video like this!) It is so impressive the amount of hard work and preparation she puts in. I hope Adam is able to put in the same amount of preparation for each appearance or event in every step along the way during the rollout and promotion of his new CD. I read this article where Beyonce's label said they were "looking at an 18-month campaign for 4." "The touring plan is extensive. The promo plan is extensive. We also know we're going to put out a lot of singles and...shoot a lot of videos from the record." She's on her second single now, and I definitely hear at least four more songs from her CD that could be singles--so that would be six. My dream is for at least four singles from Adam's upcoming CD. Even though I'm sure (especially after watching the Beyonce video) that Adam's extremely busy, and I would definitely rather he concentrate on making music and meeting deadlines, I still hope we hear from him soon. We definitely have been spoiled in the past in terms of Adam news and entertainment, and under normal circumstances I think it would be good for him to wean fans from the expectation of him being a constant source of entertainment, but with an important single due to be released in a couple of months, I feel differently. I hope he can find time, or create time as part of his job, to communicate at least minimally with fans during this waiting period. You can't just show up all friendly-like and wanting to chitchat on Twitter when you're ready to sell something. I mean, you can, but then the motive is very transparent. I know that most of his interaction on Twitter is fan relations work and not just fun or recreational for him, and that it's all marketing to an extent, but it would be beneficial for him if the interaction appeared more organic, and it won't if he just pops up to hawk something (whether it's a performance/appearance or a single) at crunch time. I hope he starts priming the pump now. He's got a million other people on Twitter or Facebook, beyond the few thousand fans who're actively seeking news about him, that he needs to engage so that they begin to feel more connected to him and more inclined to pay atttention to and support him come September-November.
