Well that really sucked for Natalie. For such a young girl she was so gracious!!!
Ghosttown will not happen. He has something up his sleeve. He was working in London for over a week. We know Adam can record in a day. Obviously she had the lowest vote total in Adams group but I don't believe for a minute she had fewer than most of the other acts. That's why I feel this format was unfair! Natalie made it through the auditions to the live shows yet some that didn't are still there.

It would be great if there was a surprise next week on XFactor and they brought back in the let go group the one with the most votes. I think Natalie would be back then. It just seems so unfair to have to take one from each group and not who had the least all around votes. And Adam didn't hold back and said he was "p*ssed" about it. Good for him. He had the most to loose in this situation.

I think no matter what happens to Natalie, Isaiah, or Amalia, Adam can help them with their music careers in other ways because he is so connected to the music industry and can open different doors for them. He is such a "proud papa".

Yeah I agree Natalie suffered at the hands of the format. Instead of the format being the lowest votes from each Category. IT should of been the lowest votes overall. No way did Natalie get some of the lowest votes. I am pretty confidant, Adams group got some of the highest. So then some of the brightest talent would not go home so early. Then again its clear this cutting down contestents, is all about money. Prob to please their advertisers, and revenue. And also it is teaching the contestents, that the music industry is ruthless. So harsh lesson, but neccessary. Just watched Adams eliminations. He is really sweet with them, they have clearly all bonded. I always thought on Idol Adam had this potential as a mentor, almost the Godfather of the industry. Adam is so nurturing organically.

The format does seem fairly brutal and it itches any common sense of justice... I gotta admit I do see a point in those who are saying people were to sure Natalie was gonna win and didn't vote/voted different...Didn't Simon on one of the last shows on AI8 say that about Adam? That people shouldn't be so sure of him getting through, that they should VOTE? But how shocked and lost did Amalia look!!! Poor baby...thank god Adam gave her a hug I think it was great that first thing he did was to recognize all his contestants and say they're all talented...

Interesting to stumble on this conversation about Nick. I hadn't thought about him in a long time. Nice to see he's doing ok. Every year that goes by brings us a new world of technology that affects how music is marketed and sold. Certainly there's been a huge change since Adam's time on Idol. Labels have to decide carefully who they'll support. One thing about Nick, he is pretty mainstream (not a criticism, just a fact.) Adam is definitely not as mainstream. I'm glad to see Adam branching out into other things whenever he can. I hope that selling albums and singles will not be his only way to make a living. He's got the best voice on the planet and I hope his primary job is always to sing, but I sure hope he will diversity whenever he can. I think he's well aware that the life of a pop star isn't everlasting. But a career in show business and media, doing many things, can last a lifetime. He's sure got the personality for it. Nick is not doing that well. He has a track that is getting some airplay -- but not nearly to the level of support Adam has gotten in from radio in the past. Nick's debut album set the record for the lowest sales by an Idol winner ever -- selling 5,000 TEAs in the presale and first week in the US and "peaking" at #121 on the Billboard album chart. He does not have a hit single yet. His second single from his album, "All On You," is getting some radio airplay -- but is not selling very much. I hope that the radio exposure kicks in and it starts to sell. *** girldrummer ITA -- I hope that Adam gets the opportunity to explore all the avenues his talent takes him to -- but I want him to keep singing. He is (and probably will always be) my favorite singer. Thanks for clarifying. Guess I read it a little too quickly and jumped to conclusions. I still wish the best for Nick. Many of the Idol alums have found their own level of success in music. It's a brutal business. Adam seems to be the last real star to come off the show. PP had a big boost with Home, esp. when the Olympics picked it up for a while, but I don't see him as a superstar of any kind. Adam has persevered and been lucky to secure an international fan base, unlike most AI alums. And it keeps growing. His own music has done well overseas, and of course, Queen has been a huge factor for him. And he deserves it, too. He has worked hard to maintain Queen's ongoing support and respect. I think Adam is the last big star from AI. And the fact that he is, after almost nine years, still rising, still hot, still moving forward, is a real testament to his talent and persistence. Love him!

I think he'll come up with something unexpected. Why sing GT when it's no longer a current song that he wants to push? He has a huge TV (and world) audience watching him on XF. I hope he throws a new killer song at us, one that he may have been working on recently in London or something. But hey, if he does sing GT, I still love it, because Adam is Adam. But he also likes to look forward and not back, so I'm still hoping for a new song.

I was watching the video posted here of the whole show when I heard it. I have to leave to go pick up my son but I think it was on this one: vimeo.com/188737074 ETA: Marionm I just now had time to go back and find where Adam said that on this video. It was at about 16:22 or so when Jason was asking the panel questions.
