I may be kidding myself, but I don't see any relationship among what Adam, Kelly, and Daughtry do. The others don't even enter the picture, country or Kris. First of all, Adam's Idol fans are either gone or diehard. New fans don't seem to me to be put in a position of having to make a decision. They only facet that could come into play is sweet daughter or granddaughter knowing gram watches AI and wants to buy her a CD by an alum. I definitely hope Adam gets lots of new fans with #2, but still don't see the AI connection entering into the equation.

July 27, 2010 Ryan Seacrest Interview -- He says he’ll be working on it “abroad” (coinciding with his international tour of Asia and Europe) and will write new music based on his experiences this past year. He’s also learned a lot about what his audience wants. The plan was for him to go to Europe and to work on the album -- that plan was scrapped sometime during the EU Tour. And RCA Ed indicated that they were starting to plan Adam #2 in October 2010. Last summer and fall Adam did talk releasing a single/album the next spring/summer. He also tweeted while on tour He was going to start to think about writing. But alot changed He started touring overseas and was busy until the middle of December and took a well earned vacation. I just don't remember see anywhere it was officially suppose to be a spring/summer release. I've never seem anywhere it said that Adam was pushed back releasing by the label. And like I said earlier Adam isn't great with dates. That was Him probably just talking in general terms last year about dates.Adam isn't like David Cook who took 2-3 years to release an album, or Avril Lavigne & Kelly Clarkson who have had RCA push back their albums. As for RCA ED He was saying a lot of things and some of them were not very nice when He was trying to get the cray to be quiet about releasing another single last year. But it will be two years between albums for Adam. I think that is reasonable, what with the release, touring, and all. I don't know how it could be quicker.

OK I listened to The Canyons.. pretty vocals & nice harmony, but a throw back IMHO.Kind of like the main Beachboy kids plus C. Phillips. Forgot the name of the group.. but I guess you get my drift. A bit boring, but maybe pretty background music.. Pleasant but not memorable. Yupp. I bit of country slant in my opinion. That was a surprise.

As for RCA ED He was saying a lot of things and some of them were not very nice when He was trying to get the cray to be quiet about releasing another single last year. There has never been an official release date for Adam #2 or the lead single and there are no official dates now. All we have is the general dates that were told to a big retailer. The only "official" to me is what Adam says. And although I can buy that he can mix up dates, he would not mix up recording in Europe while touring with waiting until he was done touring. Adam himself said in interview last Fall that they album was going to be released in Fall 2011 -- and that he did not want to work on his record while touring. (I think it was in Finland interviews.) I do know have time to sift through videos of interviews right now but someone else may remember when this shifted. Regarding the date shift -- here is what I remember...so perhaps you can find them. 1. New Adam release expect late Spring -- told to Fall 2011 Clear Channel meeting execs by RCA. Reported on a couple of radio sites. Was not news at the time because it was what Adam revealed in July. 2. New album in the works would be released first half 2011 -- SEM Meeting Germany. (That is the meeting that Adam performed at.) Munich Nov 2011. Comment is in German. RCA did not push back Cook's or Avril's albums. They took a long time to write/record them. And while I agree Adam is not like anyone else, Cook, Avril Lavigne and Kelly have little in common. ALBUM CREATIVE ISSUES -- Cook's album was pushed back because the label did not accept it the first time and sent him back to work on it. This happened before Barry Weiss resigned. (We know why they sent him back to do more work on the album, but we do not know why. I am assuming that they were not happy with what they got the first go.) SALE MAXIMIZATION STRATEGY -- Kelly's album is her 5th with RCA and the end of the contract. I am unaware of any statements why it was pushed from anyone at RCA but my guess is that they are trying to maximize sales from this album -- it is the last RCA-Kelly album. Also, this album is likely to sell well and tracks will airplay -- she got 15 spins last week on her leaked track. Note: There are also fan reports that RCA did not want to release Kelly's album against Britney, Gaga, Avril or Beyonce. That pushes it to Fall. Kelly wanted March. Britney had March 2011. Gaga had May. This makes no sense to me because there is always another pop diva releasing an album.DIDN"T GET DONE IN TIME FOR Q4 RELEASE -- Avril Lavigne took two years to record her album. This is a case when the artist caused the delay. She finished recording in late October 2010 and RCA released it in March 2011 -- I do not think they revealed why but I since she was in the recording studio in October -- and January is an awful time to release an album -- March seems like the best time to release it.

I thought she was getting married in northern CA? On June 19th she tweeted that she was getting married in two months from that day, so August 19th I guess. And a long while back her tweets indicated she was looking at venues in Northern CA Wine Country. My neck of the woods. I'm polishing my stalking shoes as we speak... (Just kidding, LOL!) Yes! Didn't MyS*&@^#r mention something about Tilden Park's Brazilian Room (in Berkeley CA)?

Thanks for bringing that over. A very interesting behind the scenes look, especially with her stepping into a a much more hands on role. I understand her desire to stay in love with what she is doing, both by taking time out to live (if you don't, you have no grist for the mill, nothing to make art about), and by seeking out organic and authentic artistic expression (tracking down the dancers in Africa). Hope we get a behind the scenes mini-documentary like this from Adam some day.

There is no doubt about the timing and this theory fits the fact. The album was going to be Spring/Summer until Adam toured Finland, the November date got mentioned after Finland. My theory is really simple Plu-- Adam had not toured internationally as the headliner in Summer 2010 when he planned to work on the album while he was touring. RCA would have been thrilled to have an Adam album in May 2011. When he got into the tour, he realized that he could note create the album he wanted while he was touring and doing promotion for FYE product. Plus, he was intimately involved with AL and GNL and other projects in the past year. I think the meeting Sauli just gave him one more reason to slow down a bit. But how "real" could his album be if he wrote it between tour stops?

Then they asked what her name is. :D :D :D :D A sweet and humbling moment. She was lovely.
