Alright, I really hope that I don't offend anyone, but from visiting at least three Adam fan sites as well as twitter, I think I have to rant or something, as I'm becoming increasingly bewildered at the memo everywhere that Adam is isolating or ignoring his fan base and that they're gonna go and away and leave him because he's not regularly tweeting once or more times a day.Is this really happening everywhere?? I remembered someone said IT and maybe he needs to tweet it again to his million fans that ENTITLEMENT IS NOT SEXY !!!!!  OK I have checked Twitter and all of the main fansites -- and this is not going on unless there is something big I am missing. Perhaps it is in a specific thread but I checked recent posts. Perhaps it is in someone's Twitter feed. And even on AO.com (usually the most angsty place in Adam fandom) people certainly want more Adam news and music but almost no one is bitching. ETA --- Note: A few forums look about like this thread -- IDF, AWOP with a discussion about fans being angsty. And I did find one Clay reference. But that was one post. And a Google Search for Adam Lambert out of touch took me here: atop.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=392&page=5To this thread. There are literally thousands of tweets and posts about Adam every hour. If you want to pluck out anything you can find it. But it does not make it the prevailing sentiment. ETA: Yipes -- I was working and not paying attention and posted 3 times in a row. Well OK then. I guess I killed the thread! |

Everything seems to have some link to Adam or Atopia. Today I was reading a retail trade magazine article about customer service and the online ratings that are out there now. The writer checked out the rating of the tattoo parlor in his neighborhood and found great comments: "The staff was friendly and the place is clean with good music and a welcoming vibe. I will definitely return" and "The ideal place for a wary 53-year-old mom to go for her first tattoo." Guess who I thought of... I wonder if that shop is in Atlanta... The shop in Atlanta definitely had a welcoming vibe and one patron in particular was over 53. ;D HEHE....I wondered why my ears were burning.... 13 Roses was welcoming. It was located on the second floor of an old bank building.....had a funky vibe...would definitely go back. Well, to tie this to Adam.....I just finished putting my "ADAMFAN" car tag on my gorgeous new totally "Glammed-Out" Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit ...was gonna wait for the 2012s, but I found one in Georgia and the local dealership went and fetched it. It's gllittery black with tons of chrome...5.7L V-8, 2 moon roofs, AC seats, Nav, cameras and sensors galore, etc. Gotta figure out how to load my AFL CDs into the hard drive..... I simply cannot drive anywhere w/o Adam music playing. Needacoke and Justwishin We'll be all set to hit the road for Tour #2 ! |

Marie23 no problem bringing it up -- and your post is what inspired me to look around the web and realize that this was not a widespread feeling. Reading this thread I was not sure.
Over the past couple of years, I have noticed that sometimes a few posters can create a lot of negativity -- and they often post the same angst on a few sites. It is bad on Twitter but can also be a challenge on a thread in a forum. For the most part these posts are made by well-meaning fans who worry about Adam.
Sure there are a few fans who want to know everything 24/7. I really do not think that Adam needs to worry about any fans who feel like he needs to share his whole life with them. And I really believe that only a few fans expect this.
And certainly Adam is aware that fans are anxious (mostly in a good way) to hear something. But this is like foreplay to the promotion.

So sad. Back from vacation but I have Internet service 24/7 yeah
Since it is slow. I wanted to ask how recording time is handled with various artists. Can Adam go in the studio to just play with a tune ? Can he just practice and toss out various combos of a song to see what sounds better without the actual help of a co writer or a keyboardist?
I remember when he was on ai. How he would hog studio recording time and they would have to kick him out to give the other ai conrestests time.
He is charged for studio time which I would think would be different than recording time. I was just wondering since he is a perfectionist and likes to change sounds

I don't get tweets to Adam on my feed unless it is someone I follow. So, chunkey, what do you mean by you are getting so many tweets from Adam fans angsting. Is it the way your account is set up? I really am clueless to a lot about Twitter even though I do use it. Oh, and I rarely read Adam's feed. I only do it when something major happens and I want to read all the "congratulation" tweets, like the Grammy Nom day.  |

Alright, sorry I brought this up. Sorry. Don't mean to say it's not happening, but think most of it is bored grumbling. I'm sure there are some people who feel that way for real, but most that I've seen has been good-natured. But I haven't really looked around much and it may depend on who you follow on twitter. But, Adam is twittering something everyday or two, although some of it isn't very satisfying, it is something. |
