Midwifespal....I.....I think I love you!
Actually I love all you who are so eloquent, I envy that. My brain thinks in prose but I can never capture it in words.....I love reading those that can.

Just got back from a long, EXHAUSTING day ziplining in the Angeles National Forest. What an amazing, challenging experience. I brought one of my local Adam stan friends with me (we have a group and we get together about once a month). She was fierce and awesome and we both wore Adam shirts.
The course was brutal though. I ziplined in Hawaii before and it was a blast, but this time, HOLY CRAP!! 10 lines, one is 1,500 feet long. Three rappels and three sky bridges. (Those were EEEEK!!!) I had a couple of points where I thought I might freak out.
Before we left, we were jokingly, tweeting Adam to say he and Sauli should join us. Actually, there have been a lot of L.A. media out as this one just opened and it's the largest zipline in North America. (If anyone has heard about the one in Asheville, NC, it's the same company.) They have a huge billboard on Sunset and Vine right now, so maybe A and S will end up going. Seems like a good thing for Sauli's blog and something he would get a kick out of.
You are with the same eight people for about four hours and you really form a bond. OMG!! I can only imagine if anyone ends up in a group with A and S. LUCKY!
We had two guides. We were on about the eighth run and the female guide, who was probably in her mid-20s, asked me about my shirt (my GNL deluxe-pack shirt) as she was clicking me in. I told her it was from Adam Lambert's concert. And before we had a chance to discuss zzzziiippp! I had to go. My friend, Sandi, did some converting while they waited for me to cross. Apparently the girl had never heard of Adam and Sandi said, "You Tube him! I'm telling you, you have to hear him. You won't regret it, I promise."
The guide seemed excited and said she is definitely going to look him up. I really hope she does.

As far as Adam's twitter activity goes I think Adam is a master at employing the most powerful reward model used in operant conditioning. It is what makes gambling addictive and that is "variable ratio of reward". Adam's use of twitter is totally unpredictable and ranges everywhere from little or no tweets to full fledged twitter parties with no predictability and no regularity. This is the variable ratio that actually intensifies interest and response. In operant conditioning if you want to extinguish a behavior you can do so by rewarding it on a constant basis with the same level of reward every time. The reward becomes so monotonous that the behavior is actually discouraged rather than encouraged. The quickest way to solidify a behavior is to vary both the rate and the intensity of the reward. All of these people who are kvetching about Adam not tweeting are actually paying MORE attention to him than usual because the ratio of reward changed. I'm not in the least worried about people losing interest because he has never gone anywhere near long enough without tweeting to actually loose people's attention. What a great analogy. I love it and it rings true. It makes me think of Gaga who has been ever present and constantly trying to raise the bar for years now. She never went away. By the time BTW came out it felt like a continuation instead of a new era. Madonna always new when to take a break and build mystique. Thanks everyone for the walks down memory lane and thoughts on being a healthy crazy verses an anxious obnoxious crazy. I agree, rhiannsu, excellent post and it really made me think! Good analogy of Madonna and Gaga, too, jamie. I was a Gaga fan who is now sick of her! (I know I would never get sick of Adam though.)

rihannsu, Liam McEwan's stattion is 88.2fm, theflea.co.nz. And the Classic Hits is 97fm, so I guess they are not the same. But Catz can probably verify that for us. From earlier post few days ago: ETA: Haha, just saw Catz's reply on last page. Thanks, Catz, all good.

Adam has always been great on Ellen's show, but I thought he killed it with this performance in particular!
