Today’s banner photo is from the ADL Steven Spielberg event. He looks so happy, I had to grab this one.
Here is another photo from that night – taken on the red carpet:
Something nice to kick off the day…..

Report that Adam performed "True Colors" with Nu Skool at Kierrah Foundation Benefit --
Update: There was no performance.

UPDATE: This reported performance DID NOT HAPPEN. Adam certainly was within a block of the event, and was photographed with a girl who sung at the event. BUT Adam did not sing at the event.

Can’t Let You Go: 5 Stages of Missing Adam
7/10/2011 by NoAngel
Let’s face it, we all miss Adam. We each deal with it in our own way, some better than others, but over the past few weeks some patterns have emerged.
Denial – In this stage, the fan knows that Adam has been scarce, but doesn’t acknowledge the full pain of the Missing. Excuses are made (“He’s just busy/distracted/forgotten his Twitter login”) and worries are brushed aside. Surely he will tweet in just a little while. Surely he will run out of coconut water and need to make a trip to Whole Foods. Surely he will thirst for adventure and punch a hole in someone’s ceiling any minute now. The fan in the Denial stage may be mistaken for someone who is very Zen. Do not be deceived. If the fan starts twitching when they are more than seven feet away from an internet connection, they are not Zen.
Anger – This is a dangerous and ugly phase. At first, the scorned fan is just a bit short-tempered and touchy. Things that were formerly amusing are now annoying, and before you know it the fan is lashing out all over the place. Fellow fans are chided for being too OTT, too cray, for having too many vowels in their name, whatever. Some fans scold Adam for his silence, and other fans seize the opportunity to scold the scolders. Good times are had by
Bargaining – At this point, the fan decides that it’s time to strike some deals. Maybe stepping away from the internet for an hour will cause something to happen. No? How about wheedling to get information out of Adam’s friends on Twitter? Fans at this stage give up hope for anything substantial, and promise to be happy with any little scrap. Forget new pics with new articles of clothing—we’ll settle for an out-of-focus crowd shot with 1/3 of Adam’s hair visible in the back of the photo. Morals fly out the window—it’s not really wrong to write to Sauli on his Facebook to tell him about the American custom of taking pictures of one’s boyfriend on the sly and posting them on the internet, is it???
Depression – At this point, the fan spirals into unremitting sorrow. It takes every last bit of energy just to press the F5 button. Tweets devolve into of snippets of non-conversation: “Any news?” “Nothin” “BRB crying more.” You know the situation is dire when even things that were formerly pleasurable, such as staring for 12 solid minutes at a gif of Adam saying “it’s all about love” from The Ellen Show, no longer bring joy for more than 7 or 8 minutes, tops.
Acceptance - In this stage, the Adam fan comes to a realization that Adam’s absence is really for the best. That he is working feverishly to put out an incredible album, coming up with the perfect look for every upcoming performance and award show, being photographed constantly for what will be an epic bonus picture-booklet to be sold with the Deluxe Edition of the album, planning the bells and whistles for his next tour, and in his few spare minutes, playing house with his cute boyfriend. The fan reaches a calm and peaceful state of mind, takes a healthy interest in RL activities, and reacquaints her/himself with long-ignored friends and family. Sadly, there are no known examples of any Adam fan ever reaching this level of Missing.
Feel free to diagnose yourself and others. I’ve got a little message to write to Sauli… 8-)

Sometimes I wonder,
“How can this be one performer?”
7.10.11 by Q3
We know that he is an amazing multi-genre talent. I could fill up this entire thread with example of Adam performing everything [except Country music – Ring of Fire Adamized does not count.] But this is not something that Adam developed to get through the Idol theme week performances. He’s been a performer who has transcended genre boxes for years.
We do not have enough pre-Idol Adam performance video, but what we have clearly indicates that he had the ability to slide from one genre to another for a long time. For example, here are 4 performances from 2003-2004, all different – from high theater comedy to classic Broadway theater to a song that would please any Jewish Grandmother to the Zodiac Show.
(Yes, we know that all. But somehow listening to them in sequence inspire me. So I thought I would post in my listening sequence.)
2003 Hair European Tour
2004 Brigadoon, “Come to Me, Bend to Me.”
2004 Chabad Telethon “Is Anybody Listening?”
2004 Zodiac Show "Change Is Gonna Come"
I played a couple of these old videos last night. I realized that I have watched and listened to Adam so much over the past 2-1/2 years that I forgot that most singers don’t just do this.
Other things I sometimes forget
Adam is such a stunning vocalist and performer that it is easy to forget that he also is a pretty clever writer – and a few of his pre-Idol songs had some great lyrics. With FYE, Adam continued to deliver some fine lyrics – “Broken Open”, “Aftermath”, “Voodoo” and “Down The Rabbit Hole” all have some sparkly lyrical moments.
My Hope-Dream for Adam #2
Thinking about Adam’s stylistic range and his writing ability, I came up with my own hope-dream for Adam #2 – that Adam really does keep his voice out-front and on this album he pushes the boundary of what he can do with his voice/performance. I don’t want a demonstration of vocal prowess; I want an emotional expression that links his voice, his being, to his lyrics.
It is a huge hope-dream. I have no expectations, just a bit of a wish.
Adam Lambert – Pop Star
New Zealand “gets it”

Repositioning ad campaigns for radio stations are based on marketing research. The fact that Classic Hits chose Lady Gaga and Adam as their featured artists for their brand repositioning campaign means that both artists scored well in their target listener research.

This is part of an ad campaign to rebrand a New Zealand radio station – explained here: www.stoppress.co.nz/news/2011/06/classic-hits-gets-makes-a-bee-line-for-the-contemporary-with-logo-revamp/
Over the past 18 months adult contemporary music radio station Classic Hits has been the subject of a significant shake up in terms of its musical, advertising and dj line-up. And with those changes now firmly in place, the station has rounded off its makeover with a new logo that’s actually a significant departure from the green and red logo that’s been in place since 1993.
…..
TBWA Whybin are behind the logo and brand refresh, which includes new artist-based print and outdoor campaigns featuring the likes of platform loving Lady Gaga and eyeliner aficionado Adam Lambert—“all current artists who are very much a part of the Classic Hits playlist”, says Winstanley.
