I voted early and will be watching the returns with the rest of the Country #ImWithHer. There is an amendment to the Colorado constitution that would create a version of Obamacare for Colorado - tried and failed in Vermont - praying it fails here. YIKES!!!!! Obamacare is the best thing that happened in this country in the last god knows how many years. But I guess one can appreciate it only when they have no other way to get medical insurance. I pray it is safe, or I'll have to be uninsured until I'm old enough to get medicare, scary after a lifetime of great employer sponsored plans...and if it is cancelled I hope my state, new york, steps in and creates something like it. Obamacare needs to be improved but I think it is an important step in the right direction - healthcare for all. I consider medical care a basic need like food, water, air, and sleep, that everybody should be entitled to.

I found Guy's performance of "Set In Stone" incredibly captivating - beautiful song and what a voice!!! His comment on the power of music seems like such a simple concept ... "music should move you or make you want to move", and to tie this in with Adam, I think most of his standout performances so far have left me rather "moved" as he too has the unique ability to connect vocally and emotionally. Fingers crossed for the next album...I have a feeling that X-Factor has been a very valuable time of self reflection and inspiration for him.

It is illuminating in a scary sort of "none so blind as those who will not see" sort of way. Perhaps the envelop holding a ballot should be a mirror so folks know what they need to be afraid of?

I just watched Guy's video Set In Stone and it struck me that most of the comments were familiar to me because his fans were posting things like, I wish he would get the recognition he deserves, his label isn't doing a good job promoting him, the dislikes must be from but hurt people who supported the other finalist from 13 years ago! I guess it's the same everywhere!!!! lol I haven't watched it yet but I've been curious why Guy isn't an international star. I read on his wiki that he made an album for the US in 2010 but it was a limited release. It makes you realize how really blessed Adam is (and we are as fans) that he truly is an international star who can fill venues of several thousands solo (hasn't he filled venues 15-20K in South Africa and Finland?) Even Leona Lewis, who was really huge at one point, currently only seems to tour in UK at smaller venues than Adam (just going by what they both did in London).

Obamacare has saved lives. It's not exactly what Obama wanted because the insurance companies are still in charge and that's why premiums are going up, but it is a start. I guess the insurance companies didn't make enough money last year to keep handing out millions to their CEO's. I think it will be improved under Clinton, if she gets in. The states, like mine (Wisconsin) with a republican governor didn't expand Medicaid like they should have which would have made the OCA so much more successful, but as is, it is still good!

I think we can be extremely thankful that the Queen connection came when it did as it has given Adam vocal credibility and access to a huge audience he may never have found otherwise. May have....but may well have not as well. As we are constantly seeing, it takes more than talent and hard work...there needs to be just a little bit of luck in there as well.

Yah... I mentioned it the other day on the thread ---as a six degrees of separation re Adam and staying in Hugh Jackman's condo. His ability to shine in the area of social interaction adds to why I fan him after all these years, and I love to quote to family, the industry people who mention it.
