I knew I shouldn't preview tomorrow's (today's) front page at 1:50am when I have to be up at 7am. 1. The picture takes my breath away. Long time since I've seen it. 2. Trolls - forewarned is forearmed 3. I hope the sane fans learned a lesson from last time and dont go off on the idiot's, excuse me, the critics, who just don't "get it." There are so many ways to say something and make it sound constructive and pleasant instead of the "eat shit and die" statement we really want to make. 4. I hope we all remember the gates and what a waste of time they were. The Susan Boyle fiasco always comes to mind first. There will be good times and bad times, just as always, but Adam, as usual, will do his part, wait for the dust to settle, and tweet a calming or snarky statement to end it. 5. AND, Adam will appear where he appears, release the single when the time is right, and ditto for #2. No amount of bitching or angsting is going to change it. Remember the AFTERMATH lesson: just because a song doesn't grab you by the throat immediately, let Adam deconstruct then reconstruct it in the following months and it could eventually be your favorite. As always, thank you Q3 for being the voice of reason as we head into the monsoon... Yea! Oh, and today is my grandson's birthday, too. All these shared birthdays. My son = Tommy One grandson = Adam Other grandson = 7/11 You and Q3 are both giving excellent advice today! Oh wow I'd almost forgotten about SuBoGate. Hey wasn't News Of The World also the one who started that, or was it another UK tabloid? The same one gelly14 mentioned who twisted the David Beckham quote as well? If so, LOL karma.

This is old but I don't think I ever saw it. Interview with News of the World, which apparently is now defunct as of today! stardust I remember this interview and the reason is I remember it is because, it's one of those interviews that they took Adam's words and twisted it as they liked. They wrote the next day "Adam wouldn't kick David Becham out of bed" not the whole converstation which was totally different from that line they wrote. That is why Adam always says he prefers interviews that you can actually see what is coming out of his mouth. If we didn't know about this vid, that line they chose to pick and post on the paper would have a whole different meaning. Probably shouldn't reveal this random fact. but the guy doing this interview is Dan Wooton (sp?) who is actually a kiwi - you may or may not pick that up from his accent! He left NZ for UK several years ago & obviously got into this tabloid journalism thing.....

Oh do you mean this story.... Evil Adam Lambert slams sweet Susan Boyle?[/size] That was started in the UK by a magazine called Gay Times -- based on an interview with Adam. Here's a summary from the LA Times: latimesblogs.latimes.com/gossip/2010/02/adam-lambert-susan-boyle.htmlHere is one report that is not so balanced: "If it were up to last season's American Idol runner up Adam Lambert, Susan Boyle would not be moving on to the next round of her career. Lambert, speaking to Britain's Gay Times, experienced a seemingly wide array of negative emotions -- compelling Lambert to "cry with laughter" -- when he first heard Boyle's cover of the Rolling Stones' classic "Wild Horses." " Link: new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/stopthepresses/113442/adam-lambert-says-susan-boyles-album-is-terrible/MTV did a balanced report on this and some other GATES:

Okie dokie... my story of the day : It's Monday here, which means my 'therapy' has now resumed after two days off for the weekend - ugh! So I'se toodles off to the hospital for the umpteenth friggin time. Now, earlier on in the piece, we were given our own little baggies in bright yellow (Cancer Society colours) with our names on and our own *smirks* personal smock to change into each day. We are told that if it will make it easier to identify OUR bag in the sorta locker room enviroment which will follow, that we are welcome to personalise our bag with whatever for easy identification. Cool! \o/ So I have a think and what catches my eye is the disco ball key chain which was a gift to me by the wonderful Pooh at the Nokia #1 concert in NYC. The key chain broke pretty quickly (cheap crap) and all I had left was the disco ball..... so, I attached some silver/glittery yarn to it and hung it off MY bag. This is NOT creepy OK!!! When I am reminded of Adam as I go for each treatment, it is the beautiful friends that I have made in this fandom and the joy that they and the fandom have brought me over the last two years. Righto, so today having got changed into my ever so glamorous 'smock', I'm taken into the treatment room by a different staff member than usual, who said "I love your disco ball". Well...... Me: Really? There is an amazing story behind this. Someone gave me this ball in NYC this time last year when I went there for a concert. Her: Oh wow really, who did you go and see? Me: Adam Lambert Her: OMG I love him *inserts general rabbitting/flailing about Adam and how he can sang his face off and how beautiful/kind/good soul/articulate/funny/gorjus/ he is* Her: Oh, my word, you really are a fan aren't you! Me: Yup.... *more flailing/rabbiting* and then told her about all my GNT's and countries and travelling. Her: [pauses] OH! (in a nice way), that's kinda almost stalker territory.... Me: Hellz no honey, I'm only low level BSC, there is way more #craycray than me out there... Her: [silence] Me: ...... just left it at that. Silence descended and they got on with the job.... Footnote: This was treatment #9 out of 16. I'm over half way there \O/ TF!

So NOTW was only responsible for the Beckham sensationalized headline, and Gay Times invented SuboGate. It seems like I vaguely remember Adam talking about going out to dinner with his publicist and reporter when that Subo interview happened? Or maybe I'm remembering it wrong since I got the media outlet wrong to begin with. Either way, a bit sad that Adam probably let his guard down a bit only to have his jokes turned into a Capital F Feud. On the bright side, it was such a kerfuffle when it happened and hardly anyone remembers it anymore! Definitely something to keep in mind in this ramp up to Adam's album drop if things get crazy.

OMG, catz.... Your conversations about Adam with random strangers are the BEST EVAH!!! LMAO that the crappy disco ball started the whole thing off!!! (and, yes, that thing was srsly crappy!) Your sense of humour throughout all your RL crap is such an inspiration to me and so many other people. Never forget that.
