I may have to turn in my stan card for this one, but where and when did Adam say he wanted a house with dimmers? Had to be pretty early on, I'm thinking, and I must have missed it. But we always say he needs his dimmers and I have no idea where that came from! You can keep you stan card. It was from an interview early part of the Idol Tour in 2009. Adam was interviewed and was asked about his dream house. One of the things he mentioned, with that giggle of his, was that he wanted it to have dimmer switches. I am certain someone here has a link to the interview.ETA: I found it -- Video interview from Salt Lake's FOX 13, prior to the July 14, 2009 concert. ETA #2: I am not in Gelly14's league with photos but I have a pretty good interview archive!! |

If it was during the Idols tour, I was only a fan of Adam, the singer, at that time. I hadn't fallen down the rabbit hole for Adam the man yet. Hadn't discovered fandom on the internet. Didn't prowl google for news. Wasn't on twitter... didn't know what it was. LJ, MJ, PF, AFL..... no clue. Oh how deeply I have become addicted since then. I hope someone has the YT of the interview so that I can finally see what I missed. |

There is a comment floating out there in the social-media-verse that Adam largely funded the GNT himself, therefore made a higher % when it turned out to be successful. I've never heard that before - but why would I have??? Anyone know anything about that? Q3, do you know? Just curious - Someone posted that on MJs but I do not think it is correct. Adam and his management put the tour together and that was a big risk BUT Adam did not fund it himself. He would not have needed to do that. What I believe he did, but cannot confirm, was construct a bootstrapped tour in the US -- meaning that revenue from the early part of the tour along with casino and festival guarentees, was used to fund some of the rest of the tour. But there were clearly promoters involved in these tour dates -- and the promoters funded specific dates. The international leg of the tour had substantial support from SME -- that is certain. |

Oh, I know this makes me petty, but the whiny wanking going on at mj's is....delicious. Food for the soul, even. :-) And in other news, my dh heard a radio spot yesterday on our local pop station advertising adam's upcoming Quebec show!! Can't wait. It's kind of fun to watch after a year + of so many tyring to say he isn't successful enough to be ranked with Carrie, Kelly, and Daughtry!  Well.. his 15minutes of fame was up since before the Idol Summer Tour started |
