You can keep you stan card. It was from an interview early part of the Idol Tour in 2009. Adam was interviewed and was asked about his dream house. One of the things he mentioned, with that giggle of his, was that he wanted it to have dimmer switches. I am certain someone here has a link to the interview. I don't have a link, but I think it is the same interview where he talked about giving Eber a check for Father's day. Didn't he also want a clothes washer as well as the dimmers - going all out! Oh dang! The vid isn't on YT? Yes, it was sooo cute. The "I wanna buy a HOWSE!" :D interview. And didn't he actually say, "laundry machine"? (He was blanking on washing machine.) It went something like, "I want to buy a house with all the bells and whistles, like dimmers ... and a laundry machine ..." So cute!! ETA: Jinx, lynneville

There is a comment floating out there in the social-media-verse that Adam largely funded the GNT himself, therefore made a higher % when it turned out to be successful. I've never heard that before - but why would I have??? Anyone know anything about that? Q3, do you know? Just curious - He said that himself in one of the radio interview during the GNT.. I think we just had that few days ago... Texas radio station or Dallas... BRB On Kidd Kraddick interview

Thanks, Q3. I saw the statement in the comments section under some article I clicked on. It didn't sound right to me. I could believe he might have taken some sort of risk, but "largely funded," well, ummm, no.
And just for some tiny bit of comparison, my son's band (small label indie) doesn't start to break even on a club tour until somewhere near midway, unless there is some unusually high paying gig (playing at a college event, etc) squeezed in between the usual clubs dates. Festival tours are profitable much sooner. But you won't see him on a Forbes list! we wish...

Adamme, thanks for posting the Kidd K vid. I do remember seeing that before. I don't think his comments were referring to funding the tour, however. I assumed he was talking about having to pay the band and dancers, and maybe some others, who are listed as his "employees" in the great scheme of how funding works. ( Much like my son's band must pay the additional musician they take on tour, plus their driver/sound person.) I think of "funding the tour" as money up front. It is true, apparently, that because he wanted and band and dancers his expenses were higher.

Someone just brought this up on MJs, and I googled it, it's a watch. Was this somekind of International endorsement?
