And in a vapid attempt to tie Amy in with Adam somehow, let me just say I am completely and utterly grateful that - while Adam has dabbled in the controlled substances pool - he recognized what he was doing and pulled himself out of the deep end before he achieved his current success.

Woa, on the Amy Winehouse news. How sad! ETA: There is nothing in the news about this. Nothing on her Facebook or MySpace. Is this possibly just a bad rumor? Twitter is faster than anything else. Twitter is amazingly fast. I first saw the rumor flying by and at that point only Sunday Mirror editors had tweeted it. I Googled Amy Winehouse news and NOTHING came up. Went back to Twitter search and her name had just started trending. My Echofon updates in real time, so it was moving so fast I couldn't read anything. There are more than 68,000 tweets on that search in just the last 10 minutes or so. I learned about MJ on Twitter and every other major death that has happened in the last two years, I think. |

Sooo sad about Amy Winehouse. Such an incredible talent and so deeply in the grips of addiction.  A tragic ending for such a talented young woman, who I guess, couldn't handle the pressures fame put upon her. Rest now in peace Amy Winehouse. |

Not to mention he made it past 27 so no club to join. Somehow I think that whole 27 club thing adds to the attraction of offing one's self for these talented but tortured young stars. It kind of becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Don't like the signs we are seeing with Gaga lately as she could be heading that way. Just an uneasy feeling I've had lately about her. |

This same thought ran through my head. I loved Amy's voice and am so sad but relieved to know that this won't be Adam. |
