[wanders back with the lolly bucket]
No slutberries today guys.
Just the good old-fashioned flavors. Cherry, strawberry, watermelon, apple, and grape. There is a butterscotch, but its all butter, no scotch. The liquor seems a bit inappropriate right now.
[rummages through the bucket for a strawberry lolly, wanders off again]

And in a vapid attempt to tie Amy in with Adam somehow, let me just say I am completely and utterly grateful that - while Adam has dabbled in the controlled substances pool - he recognized what he was doing and pulled himself out of the deep end before he achieved his current success. I don't think Adam was ever in the "deep end." I am very glad that he handles the ride of celebrity as well as he does. It's a very hard road for those young people who don't have a foundation of love and support. RIP Amy. |

The Amy Winehouse news is so tragic and serves as another reminder that talent like Adam's combined with his common sense, family and friend support, and awareness that life is about many things, not just success and "party hardy" is rare. It also validates his statements on Idol about his age perhaps being a benefit. Living and struggling through the early years, acquiring close and talented friends, and seeing what fame can do to some people may all be blessings in disguise when sudden fame and pressure become your life.
Adam is really one of the most stable and normal celebrities I've seen. Amy's sad ending should make us all appreciate that even more. A big shout out to Sauli, mom and dad, even Neil, his bandmates and dancers, the Cherrys, Ferras, etc. for their part in it.

This same thought ran through my head. I loved Amy's voice and am so sad but relieved to know that this won't be Adam. True... He seems to be too AWARE of what he does, but I keep being worried about his love of "social drinking"... the problem for me is that he "socializes" lots = great!, but that translates into "drinking lots" as well... I really don't know when and how the "addiction problem" starts, and when it is just "having a drink for fun"... anyway, lets not even go there...it is obvious that Amy was in real trouble for a while...very sad...she looked like Gaga a bit... |
