It just occurred to me........ That lucky boy Sauli! He would have had that same post-concert buzzy/drunk/dreamy/isthisreallife feeling that everyone else did, but he got to go home with Adam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #jealousdoesn'tbegintodescribeit

Kanadie, the piano cover by the little girl is beautiful, she is so talented. I saw that she also did "Soaked", very nicely done. Thanks! (why did you delete it? I really enjoy it, it's gorgeous!) I like Adam singing with a piano accompanist as well.

I saw this on twitter, and while I get the point, I think its a little dramatic. I'm not trying to minimize the impact of the vagaries of immigration law, which can be a challenge for international couples of any sort. But as long as Sauli can keep his I visa (the international media visa), he will be able to stay indefinitely. I visa's are good for one year at a time, and there is no limit on how many times they can be renewed. If you have to be here on a visa, the I Visa is a great one to have. They have some time to figure out what they want to do without Sauli violating immigration laws or facing deportation. The lyrics talk about people wanting them to rot in hell. They have more immediate issues than what happens when Sauli's visa needs to be renewed. And the broader interpretation is more poetic, and angsty, which feeds my vision of Adam As Artist, lol, so I'm sticking with that one. I agree, cookie. I don't think Sauli and Adam will have any trouble staying together. I may be an optimist, but with states passing equality in marriage laws, I think it will only be less than a few years before a married gay couple has the same immigration rights, to stay with their spouse, that a hetero couple does. Maybe with the New York law they already do. If it is legal in NY then how can one be deported? Getting married doesn't guarantee no challenges with getting permanent residency, but yeah- I think that by the time an I-visa doesn't suit them anymore, marriage laws will be different. Re: NY law being passed. That is a state law. Immigration policy specifically states that the spousal policies do not apply to same sex marriages. Luckily, the administration recently announced that INS would stop trying to deport the same-sex spouses of a US citizen or legal resident. That will help until the laws change at the federal level (and DOMA seems to be on the way out).

You are the best! Thanks again Craazy PS: Hope I did not forget anyone….. CRAAZY!!! HIYA! YOu didn't forget me cause I hadn't been on yet, but I DO want to wish my fellow Kraut HERZLICHEN GLÜCKWUNSCH ZUM GEBURTSTAG!!! Missed you these last few months, though you're far too sensible to faff about here during a drought . Anyway, hope you have a lovely day, and an excellent year. When I was little, my mom used to sing Viel Glück und Viel Segen to me, in a round, on my birthday--did you ever do that? In anycase, imagine a chorus of that, and, um, while your at it, imagine I can sing .
