Phew.... racing to catch up on the last of yesterday's and now today's thread. Lol.... we're a wordy lot - aren't we  LOVE IT! Well I #berted myself into a coma last night and ended up falling asleep on the couch straight after eating dinner :  Can't stop playing OOL!!!!!!!! I know there was a little bit of discussion about whether or not Outlaws of Love will be Adam's new single. I agree with the majority, I don't think it is. Given a choice of what new song to perform live for the first time, in my heart I believe he chose to sing Outlaws of Love for Sauli last night.
His inspiration, his love. ♥, I like your take on it! I can't wait for the boyfriend tweet...maybe he will post a pic *fingers crossed*. The song is beautiful and dreamy, mandolin-like sound and forbidden love and all....<3 This show is legendary. The first one I was following, not counting Maxidrom. Gonna be a classic moment. Kept and treasured in the sacred annals of fandom. The moment when the sky cracked open for Adam Fucking Lambert. Sad panda to say goodbye to FYE era tho. Thanks to all Atopers posting pics and vids, can't wait for your recaps! YOU ARE SOME LUCKY FIERCE BITCHES!!!! P.S. gelly, you are Adam's closet mistress, indeed! Splurging more than 1000 euros on another same looking, not to mention third a pair of medges - that's what our guy can afford now!!! Yay! |

I was surprised by the lack of a bridge too. I am thinking that we got only a stripped down acoustic version with the essence of the song and that the album version will be not only instrumentally different but also add that bridge. Adam knew that YTs would be all over within hours, so he satisfied our need for new while still knowing that the official version will have us flailing all over again (and encourage purchasing the official version, not that we need any encouragement. ) Will definitely purchase. ;D I've listened to it a few times, but I just can't get past the audience noise. Poor Suz had men near her talking throughout the entire concert. And all the screaming meemies. What sets them off? Not the "marry me" but the other times when one or two yelp and then a whole gaggle of them explode. Do they really feel like they are going to explode and can't contain themselves or is a lot of it contrived? I've never been a screamer, so I have a hard time imagining the spontaneous shrieks like that. There was a large group of young fans on the left side of the crowd in front of the VIP Tent where Suz526 was located -- she picked up this noise a lot. The VIP Tent also had a lot of non-Adam fans (who I understand were talking a lot) because it was mostly event sponsors tables. I expect/hope there will be some video from the other side of the audience posted that should have less crowd noise. Also, many other videographers were closer to the stage -- for example, the TALC videos are from about 12-15 people back from the stage. That seemed to be the sweet spot for sound. A few other observations -- Adam came out blazing in the concert and really worked up the crowd. When he pulled back the music for OOL it was actually surprising how silent most of the crowd got. There were over 9,000 people there -- and only a small number were screaming out inappropriately during OOL. Cassie is right, Adam had some pitch issues. It was more pronounced in the last 3 to 4 songs. But he was as relaxed as I have ever seen him on stage -- and Adam was having a great time. After the rain and wind started, it was really difficult to hear some parts of WLL and PH even standing 12-15 people away from the stage. It was raining particularly hard during WLL. Hopefully someone captured the look on Adam's face when he came back out for the second encore -- PH -- and saw thousands of people standing in torrential rain -- mostly without tarps or umbrellas -- waiting for him to sing one more song. Adam took the stage at 9:20PM -- 20 minutes late and ended exactly when the fireworks started. If he had started as scheduled at 9:00PM, the concert would have been over before the rain started. As far as I know, this is the first time it has rained on an Adam Lambert outdoor concert. Next outdoor concert, I will pack a survival kit. Honestly, absolutely the best Adam concert I have ever seen. The end of the FYE Era -- the beginning of the "TBD" Era. |

I wonder if Just Jared, USA Today, Yahoo Music, Towelroad and all the others that posted about the new "song" think this is the new single?
DL'd a couple more vids. Making progress!!
ETA: Just saw Q3's recap. Some new information. I hope you'll expound on it tomorrow? Every tidbit is interesting.
