Some of us have been saying OOL reminds them of this or that. Me too. First of all, this performance reminds me of Upright Cabaret a bit. Secondly, many of you are not going to like this, it reminds me of the opening of "No Boundaries" (I can feel myself getting slapped already.  ) Much to my surprise, they are both in the same key. OK BYE!! |

I do NOT think that the song was boring.. I think it was utterly touching. I am not gay, but I have a lot of gay friends. I think that being gay is the most natural human thing!! In the ancient world, in Greece and Rome, to be *bi* or whatever gay/lesbian was very human and totally acceptable. Humanity lost a lot with all kinds of religion rules coming into force by whoever ruler was in power. You probably all know that the Bible has been written all over again during the history according to the wishes of whatever ruler was in power:)

TALC vids update - starlyyte just called me from Atlanta during her layover. They had a horrible internet conection at their hotel. They got three videos uploaded and then the next one said it would take 180 minutes to upload. @alikat1323 and @tuke18 got in the car and drove to the McDonald's and sat in the car using their internet. It said 118 minutes to upload and 10 minutes before it finished, they jostled the computer by mistake and lost it. >:( They gave up and today took starlyyte to the airport to fly back to FL and they stayed in Montreal to sightsee. They will drive back to PA tonight and the vids will be up sometime tomorrow. While we were talking, Adam tweeted Laurie's OOL vid. I told starlyyte - she screamed (made scene at airport?!?!? LOL) and hung up to call the TALC peeps in Canada to tell them about Adam's tweet. We'll have some quality vids to look at tomorrow when they get home.  Starlyyte kept saying to me "I kept thinkging about you and wished you were with me" Uhhhh not nearly as badly as I wished I had been with her.  |

Assuming they're serious (which I think is a fair assumption), That line is heartbreaking because if you think about it, unless Sauli gets a green card, or Adam becomes a citizen of Finland, or they both renounce their respective citizenships and live in a more accepting country like Canada or the UK, they can never, ever live together in one place for longer than Sauli's 6 month or 1 year visas will allow, and Sauli faces deportation and banishment from the US for 10 years under US law if they try to bend the rules. Hence the "Nowhere to grow old" line. Then, the "we're always on the run" is significant because of the circumstances of their relationship, they can't stay in one place for long periods of time. They HAVE to leave/come back/leave come back/leave come back. Hence, the "we're always on the run" line, which is heartbreaking. Wow! In some ways this is an even more heart-wrenching scenario. |

Hey, quick question... I haven't had time to look back over both threads--I've skimmed some... Have we discussed Adam's chosen, boyfriend-friendly alternative to the Fever-kiss, or have we just been too caught up in New Song Glory? I thought it was hilarious but haven't seen it come up (probably there was already an in depth analysis here with twenty-seven 8x10 glossy photographs with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one and I just missed it, in which case I apologize for the redundancy). You can see it here on this vid...at the 18 second mark, instead of kissing Tommy, he asks Tommy's tattoo of John Wayne "how you doin'?", and then kisses it (him--the Duke), and then says in a lulzworthy southern accent "Welp, lets step up into the saloon..." and then goes on into the "we'll never get too far/ just you me and the bar" lyric... Tommy is CRACKING UP... LOL seriously Adam never change. I was very curious to see what he'd do during Fever, and this was hilarious and playful. I think the Fever kissing/licking was part of GNT and Adam has moved on from that. Nice to see that his relationship with the mic is still hot and heavy, though.  Haha yeah I know, haven't seen any of the videos besides WLL and OOL (just can't seem to break away from that one for long to look at anything else). But just listened to this, and was just cracking up at last minute with all of the dancing and mic play, haha I hope Adam never changes. |

It just occurred to me........ That lucky boy Sauli! He would have had that same post-concert buzzy/drunk/dreamy/isthisreallife feeling that everyone else did, but he got to go home with Adam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #jealousdoesn'tbegintodescribeit That thought gave me more than a few smiles last night at 11pm and kept me smiling until the vids showed up at 1am. They are just too, too adorable. |
