RCA has never pulled any of Adam's vids. God knows there are 20 bazillion GNT vids out there. Or do you mean because it's a "scoop" or an unreleased song? I'm sure Adam told someone he was planning to sing it, so they would know. They obviously understand the value of free publicity and building buzz. One of the many reasons I'm so excited about this song is that is proof of exactly what Adam has been saying – this album is going to be raw and real and the vocals are going to be at the forefront. It also is indicative of how he has grown as a songwriter and as subjective as music is, I have seen very little criticism of the song in any way. I haven't been to MJ's since this morning, but when I read that thread, it was universally positive (a miracle unto itself). That says to me this album is going to be as good as we've dreamed and he's aspired to. I have seena few comments here and there of people saying they didn't like it. A few people wanking per usual and then some at ONTD who say they love him but the song is a bit boring. I'm sure the album version will have more of a full sound, be less sleepy*. Besides, I think some people--esp younger ones--are so used to music that has all the bells and whistles and nose and thumping euro dance beats that when a stripped down song comes around they find it boring. Or they just find it boring because they find it boring. LOL. What do I know. I do think it needs a bridge tho. Unless the album version has some sort of amazing orchestration in that place that they just couldn't recreate live...IDK. I wonder since he says this is for sure on the album, how many songs have been decided to make the cut by now? I know he doesn't want to leak anything and keep us in suspense, but I wish we would get a general idea of how far along they are in the process....but whatevz. See, I don't miss the bridge at all. I know it's standard structure, but in this case I think it works very well without it and to add one might seem forced. The straightforwardness of it lends to the poignancy, IMO. It's almost August. I would bet he knows what songs are on the album and he is mastering right now. He said this one would be on it with complete certainty.

I have seen a few comments that OoL is "boring." To each their own. If your favorite song of last year was "I whip my hair back and forth" or Bieber's "Baby, baby, baby, oh, my baby, baby baby" I would guess that you are not into lyrics that have significance. If what you love about Adam is his wailing rock with your cock out (is that the quote?) performances, for example 20th Century Boy, then the minimalist ballad might bore you to tears. On the other hand, if you are enamored with Adam's pure, lyric tenor voice soaring on CTMBTM, Come Home, and Soaked, listening to Outlaws is heaven, and you are probably left a bit unimpressed by 20th Century Boy. (Yup, that's me. I confess.)
Fortunately, Adam can sing it all, and frequently does. So there is something for everyone to like. Well, maybe with the exception of Country. But, there is a country sounding tune on the bastard album.

I wonder how does it feel like to watch and listen in a concert the most wanted man on earth right now and know that he is yours.. listen to the song he is singing concerning also their relationship and the pain and agony and also the joy and soothing words that they are not wrong ... I certainly would have loved to see Sauli's face there. I am sure Sauli was swallowing a lot of tears of happiness and awe!! If I had been in a similar position.. I don't know.. maybe I had fainted even before the concert had started;)

Don't get me wrong...when I said earlier that I was surprised that OOL didn't have a bridge, it was in no way a criticism. I think it is a really great melody, and expect the studio version to be amazing. Even though a few people say they think it is boring, it seems to me that overall it is getting a really great response. I think this little taste says alot for how good that #2 may potentially be!

This was one of the best concerts (well FS was pretty great too), and someone outdid themselves with the special effects. I was standing beside the sound booth and could see Sauli really well. I tried not to make it obvious but I did glance from time to time to get an impression of what he thought of the show. He was actually seated quite low down and towards the left side, so mostly watched the show from the screens, Beautiful to see him smile and enjoying it. He rushed ou when the rain came down towards the end and headed right for the stage. ANd no, no pics...tecnical difficulties with both my phone and camera there. It was lovely to meet with some Atopians. I melted at OOL and literally melted in the downpour
