If you search for Outlaws of Love on YT you will see that, totaling all the different versions, there are over 50,000 viewings! In less than 24 hours! Does that qualify for going viral??? There is no real definition of viral = X views in 24 hours. Generally marketers look for something to move from people who know about the artist, movie, song, video, pet trick etc. to new people. 50K views is probably 25K unique people -- so not bad at all. If it goes viral -- the count would need to be in the low 6 digits for the next 24 hours -- showing viewer growth. 50K first 24 hours 150K second 24 hours 300K third 24 hours Something like that -- that spreads like a virus. It grows and infects more and more people. The term viral gets misused a lot for social media marketing efforts.

Have to bring this over from last night because Jazzrocks summed up my feelings exactly! Before I rush over to the News thread I have to say...well I don't know what to say. I'm speechless at the level of intensity of this entire concert. He is magnificent and I just don't understand how he can keep getting more fucking wonderful each and every time he performs. If Adam doesn't become a huge (and I mean HUGE) international star then something is seriously wrong with the entertainment world. Jazzrocks, just want to say that I feel the same. And Irish, LOVED your armpit post this morning. LOL. I understand. (And Buderschnookie, I remember the hilarity on TWOP when Dadalus posted during the armpit hair discussion, lol). The new song is beautiful and has been in my head the entire day. Love the line "Scars make us who we are". I think the song works on both a personal and a more universal level, and for anyone in a relationship outside accepted norms. I can imagine it resonating with a lot of people. I am in PAIN over not being at this concert. I was supposed to be in Quebec, I overcame a number of obstacles to make it happen, my bags were packed, and ANOTHER last minute real life problem/situation stopped me from going. I don't want to talk about it!!! I am beyond sad. I still haven't unpacked the bags! Maybe I never will! aaagggghhhh!!!!!!!!!! The thing about this concert is that it represents the transition from one era to the next and it seems sooooo evocative for that reason. And then there was the new song, and the rain, and Adam's general magnificence. I'll stop now.

"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be..." -Robert Browning.
OoL's "Nowhere to grow old" took me to the above poem. It's the most tellingly poignant point of the song, for me...
