I just read your post, amw, and it saddens me. It saddens me that you feel that you have to be so careful in your interactions with your wife while you are in public. I am not challenging your decisions, I am just stating that I think it is sad that that is what you have to do. My husband's sister is a lesbian and has been with her partner for just over 10 years. I have known them for six years and have seen them touch each other three times. You would think they are just roommates just to look at their interactions. At my daughter's birthday party in May, the three of us got talking about how my husband and his sister are alike. I was teasing her partner about feeling her pain for living with the quirks that our spouses share. The response I got was so warm and light, they dropped their guard and for held hands while talking to me for a few minutes. I want them to understand that I stand behind their love and life fully. Their love is real and they don't have to be afraid of me. To me, the saddest line in OOL is "Nowhere to grow old". All of us need someone to grow old with, to share the joys and sorrows and challenges life brings. Love is love. Thanks for sharing your life with us wiga and amw. I don't feel sad. I feel ANGRY for the society we built. And we must never give up. We MUST change the society. Each and everyone of us, baby steps. Equality.

Yea haha when I saw his first Rick Owen boots I was actually surprised he didn't pick up the ones with the strange zippers. They are the coolest of the coolest. Well it seems that he did it now!!!!

It is a sad reflection on society, isn't it? I'm glad your sister-in-law is becoming more comfortable and relaxed enough to show affection with her partner. What does this say about our society??!! The top trending topic Worldwide on twitter today.... #reasonstobeatyourgirlfriend
